While there must be hundreds of good examples of swipe control, the controls found in Silverfish or Forget-me-not come to mind for me.
I just tried the game, and it's a very, very good game. Music is fine, gameplay is funny and the action and bonuses are all there, but sadly the controls are not so good as everything else. I've seen the new swipe control, but i can't really use it 'cause IMHO it doesn't respond so well. I think buttons are better, but even here something must be shaped to give much more better control. If iCade will be supported, the game will be near perfect. And don't forget GameCenter integration, quite mandatory these times. Congratulations for the game and hope you'll listen to my suggestions!
Happy to hear you like the game Capronissimo71 I tried Nimble Quest, I'll add swipe anywhere on the screen + try to enhance the control response; very cool game btw. Here is the ToDo list: - Swipe anywhere/enhance. - iCade support - Game Center - An Expansion (update, not IAP nor other app )
These are all great news vbovio! iCade will work perfectly with this kind of game, and swipe anywhere is good. GameCenter and the expansion are very good too. In a few words, great job! Thx for listening to our requests!
It just dawned on me, however, unlike Nimble Quest, you'll still need "brakes" (since, with the previous controls the player was free to stop on a dime anywhere in the maze).
Creepy Dungeons v2.0 Huge Update Hello! Sorry for the long delay since I released the game, but as promised, the new version of Creepy Dungeons is ready and soon to be released, here is the trailer for the iPad version! Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Victor graciously let me get a peek at the Mac version which I'm sure is identical to the upcoming iOS version, and the new tweaks are VERY cool. The biggest additions that I could see are classes (which effects stuff like character speed and default weapons) and some new modes like Elemental in which the baddies are various elementals (haven't played enough to see their unique powers but, much like the default mode, I'm willing to bet the Fire and Water elementals have very different tricks up their respective sleeves).
Hey there, The update will be released tomorrow, for a chance to get the new version today, check out the forums for some promo codes in a few hours! Enjoyable, but the controls feel a bit off. I spent most of the first level fighting them before realizing you don't use the joystick control like a normal joystick. Why require swiping on the joystick to turn instead of allowing the player to swipe anywhere on the screen? It feels counterintuitive based on nearly every other swipe controlled game I've played. I also feel as though there's a slight delay between when I swipe and when the character turns. Otherwise I like it so far.
So what do folk think of the new characters? I personally love the monk but it took me a while to realize the Fist powerpills in the corners of each level granted temporary invincibility (as long as your blinking).
