Thank You. I like it too. It is not a marble, it is an effect of broken glass layered on White elements of the skull. To be honest I have no idea for the background. After all I have bo chances to win

If you're going to use the end result of this contest as the official icon it would make a lot of sense to let us use some of the game's graphical components in the entry icons. Most icons feature artwork that's in the actual game.
Yeah use it - when something is really good we will give you the source data to pimp up your icon - the first thing is your idea so keep it up! we are waiting for more exciting icons
Which one? First background was transparent. Of course, if You don't mean that little icon in the second post... I made this background, because it: 1) Associates with sand. Sand = beach. Beach= sea. Sea = pirates. 2) With radial blur effect it makes a movement illusion and highlights skull in the first place. I will try to add a little effect of supernova or lens flare, to give this icon more "sunny" look. But jak56, maybe You have suggestion for background?
let me think for a while. then i'll answer... maybe you could just make the background all black and make the ball shine. the background will marge with the ipod background while the shine from the ball will make it come out from the background
