My brother says they are still there (he bought it before it switched) and that the latest update info is with the switch over on the 10th March.
FREE again. For the second time (was $/€ 2.99 before). The previous sale in 3/2014 generously lasted for two weeks. There was an update—today! Highly recommended! I just re downloaded it and I didn't notice any timers. It told me I was a premium user after I got into the game, so I'm assuming it said that because I bought it when it 1st launched. It may show timers for people who didn't pay for it; I'm not certain. It does have dual currencies (coins and rubies)and I don't remember that being the case before. The coins are obtained by how good you do on the level(sort of like the 3 star system) and the rubies are scattered throughout the levels. With that said, it does seem fair for the people's who paid for it. I think the control scheme has changed slightly as well. I could be wrong..... Also, they've added stuff like watch a vid for coins and boosters. I don't recall the boosters being part of the game, but it's been a while since I've played it.
