Crayon Physics is out in the app store:
What a night!
First Space Ninja, now Crayon Physics?!
Just saw this as well..
Waiting for someone who don't really enjoy Line Rider to give input on this.
notice how it says DELUXE
could there be a lite version or cheapass version?
50 levels. It's really well produced.
I never really liked Line Rider. I also didn't really love the other touch physics type games. It seems that this one's difficulty ramps up a bit.
I'm stuck on level 26th at the moment. The first 10+ levels are pretty easy so you get through those quickly. The past 5 or 6 have been more difficult. And I don't really know how to get past 26th.
There is a level editor included but it seems you can only save locally.
So how does this compare to Touch Physics? I really didn't like that one at all.
I didn't fall in love with line rider either and I played touch physics once and deleted it....so this crayon physics is very different from touch physics?
whats the difference between these physics game with trace and the other free one?
it's been a long time since I played touch physics, but if you didn't like it, I doubt you'd like Crayon Physics. It's basically the same game.
Just got done with my first session with the game.
Within minutes, it was evident to me that this title has a great amount of polish. The gameplay is very addictive. The graphic style may be simple, but has unquestionable charm. I managed to get to level 26 (which had me puzzled) before calling it quits for the night. All in all, I'm very impressed with Crayon Physics. The only thing I could ask for is more variety in the music that is played.
i want to get this game so badly but when i heard it was from Hudson i almost didnt want to get it, and now im not sure wat to do.
So whats the final overall verdict? Good game? Worth trying?
Definitely good game if you like these sort of games. If you didn't like Line Rider and didn't like Touch Physics, you shouldn't get it, though.
How about some comparisons to Touch Physics? I liked the game, but my girlfriend LOVES it. I still felt that it was a bit limited, since you can't even draw lines, and you can "cheat" by drawing a box over the items to knock them over. Touch Physics also felt a bit short - beatable in one sitting.
With 50 levels, is Crayon Physics significantly longer? Also, are its mechanics better than Touch Physics? I saw some pretty cool stuff in the Youtube video, like being able to draw things around hinges and whatnot.
If the price drop, then I am definitely getting it.
Hmm..only thing holding me back is the fact that both Arn and PimpToxie are already halfway through the game..
Is there any sort of free play or sandbox mode?
there's a level editor, so you can make up your own thing. Apparently level 26 is where it gets really hard since we both ended there.
There is a level editor which lets you create your own boards. That alone adds quite a bit of replay value. It took roughly one hour to get to level 26. The boards ramp up in difficulty, and L26 actually had me stumped. So I wouldn't worry about the longevity of the game.
If you want my two cents: buy it.
Thanks for the information. I usually wait until there are solid reviews before purchasing, but I think I will give this a go.
