question regarding the Settings button Hi all, Weve received a question regarding Crash Contest #3 asking if the 5 winning combo includes the Settings button. Answer: no, the Sound Settings (for Iphone/iPod touch version) button, the Settings (for iPad version) button as well as the New Game button are not included.
Maybe it would be better to clarify which button are not usable in this contest. Seems to me that this could take lots of possibility.
Regarding the "R" button Yes, 'R' button can be part of a combo that can crash the app as well as that of the winning Da Zepi Code. As a matter of fact, a crashing combination might include less/more than 4 buttons, for example, 2 or 12... With any 'bug' combo, the pocket of our super programmers will flatten...
I was able to crash it. Basically I just hit the buttons over and over again and when I switched modes, I would tap the screen, causing the program to lag. At the end I finally got it to crash. The trick is to rapidly press the random button and the all randomized buttons. Then start switching games modes while tapping the screen. Then it will crash. I didn't change the video speed at all. I believe it crashed because the app was trying to catch up to itself, but I kept pressing the buttons while switching game modes. We kindly request to write down the exact combo (or shoot a clear video) which the OstinGames team could repeat in the office. Ok re-did the video. There is no specific combo. It is impossible to write down the exact combo, because the crash occurs when there is lag and when it tries to catch up with itself. The way I got to crash was first hit the random and the all randomized buttons for a little bit. Then just start hitting all the buttons very quickly, while switching modes. It took 9 minutes this time(usually 2-3 minutes), but in the end it crashed. There is an obvious bug where the app starts hitting buttons on its own. The time to crash it varies. Sorry, Drsponge, it should be clear combination of buttons that works and can be repeated by anyone...
But there is any obvious bug in the app. You can see in the video, the app starts pressing buttons on its own. I was able to crash your app, basically by just hitting the left side buttons while switching modes. Did you guys try my method yet? With my method, there is probably an unlimited combination of ways you can crash Zepi HD. The crash occurs, because the app is trying to keep up with itself. I can send you the crash log if you want.
