If the IAP's are only for helmets (and I haven't checked my game recently to see if anything else is added), then they are completely optional. The helmets let you skip a tough level, but since all the solutions are available online it's really only for those who can't use Google. Or for those who want to support the developer of this fantastic game! I see it as more of a tip jar.

The pizza is quite good. It's actually what I took my name from - not specifically because I live in Hawaii. I eat there so often, I get a big discount every time I visit and often free food!
Not sure if Southern California is paradise. It can get very hot in the late summer!! But the winters are mild.
FDG is working on Cover Orange 2 and the last 20 levels of the original Cover Orange. Don't know when to expect a release though supposed to be "soon".

To FDG: Hmmmm, is there a reason my iphone 3G doesn't seem to be getting the update for the last 20 levels? My iphone 4 and 5 did, but not the 3G. I know CO2 isn't supposed to work with the 3G, but what about CO? I'm trying to just turn off and restart the phone now, in case there was just an odd glitch. Well, that didn't work either. Tried going to the app store on the 3G but got a message saying it couldn't make a secure connection and to check my time and date settings. Looked at the clock and it was a bit over 2 hours off! Also the wrong date on months, day and year! Looked at the settings and they were correct so I changed it to manual and corrected the numbers. That didn't solve the problem either. I got the app store to work, but it said everything was up to date even though I can't get those last 20 level.
