I should try for the 991 ... update: just 990 on 46 but 991 on 47 (took a few tries, those wheels just can't touch anything!) going to try and post new scores as I go today so
If you can get 991 on level 29, which has 5 items, then 991 on #46 should be a breeze... I've played levels 41 thru 80 today and got 3 new highs: 63, 64 & 70: all 990's now
Hi I haven't played CO for an age, my score for 58 was 972 on iPhone 4 Must start playing again, havent even started the latest levels and not finished the levels prior to those Looks like you lot are having fun though I'm chicken and egging at the moment
Congrats! Sorta. Every time I get myself up to 30 or more records, you folks knock me back down to 29! Still, amazing that all these new records are still happening. Apparently level 58 can't get above 973 on an iphone 4. That is probably enough to keep me from getting higher than my present position (and I suspect this is the case with some other levels). It's one thing to not get 992, but to lose 18 points on one level is just a killer. I could play on my 3G - and at some point I probably will, just to see what happens, but there is no leaderboard for that system.
I only get 990. When you say they can't touch anything, are you just dropping them over the side, out of sight? I tried that. I also tried dropping the first one out of sight, then dropping one from higher up on the little flat section on the left (next to the spinning thing), and then quickly dropping the barrel below the wheel so it lands on the flat spot with the wheel on top. Still went to 990.
Can you elaborate on 73? The picture doesn't show enough, but I'm guessing you dropped all but one wheel over the edge, dropped the last wheel on the right side of the structure (which the rain then knocked off since it shows in the picture) and the barrel on top of the right orange.
I was kinda afraid you were going to say that! I hate balancing stuff! Just not that good at it so doing it twice is a real bear.
I first tried with balancing on just one orange, but couldn't get it to work with a dry spell in the rain. Maybe you can. Or maybe you don't need to cover either orange, like Ctay.
I have had levels where I had to hope for two good gaps for unprotected oranges. Sometimes it's actually worked, but always took a LOT of attempts - usually over a period of days! I think it is much harder to get it to happen with two so close together though. I think covering one might be more likely to work. Probably use the barrel. I seem to have more success with those. But even dumping stuff as fast as I can (2 on the right, 1 on the left, and the other three on platforms), I can't get over 989. That would still be an improvement though.
Well, I got 1 more pt (988) on #73. I might get 989 - I can get the timer to stop there, but not if I cover an orange with the barrel. Strange. I did get the gaps right once, but it was on an early experiment and I put a wheel up top too - of course, it bounced a drop into an orange. Since I've stopped putting the wheel up there, I don't get the gaps right. UPDATE: Got the 989 without covering anything. Never could stop the timer higher than that. I wonder, besides the inability to get 992 on the iphone 4, how many scores of 991 or even 990 are also impossible on the iphone 4? At some point, when it finally looks like all the top scores possible have been found, I might pursue that question.
I was able to stop the clock at 987 on level 83 - just can't beat it yet. Update: Make that a possible 989. Another update: Stopped it at 990 - but no protection so probably not a workable solution. To many oranges exposed to get lucky.
