Yeah sucks eh but as much as it sucks for me I'm glad the hackers are off the top of the table, well chalk it up at partial success on FDG attempt good to see they are doing something about hackers though
THAT's the only reason i stopped playing at 119830 The game is not only about getting many points it's also about not letting you get kicked by the anti-cheat-algorithm, stubitch!
So there's a score limit? Why we can't find it in all games? I hate when I see a 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 score, like RF number 1.
The limit has to be set by the developers. If you want one, you may ask the the developers of RF to set it at 1 billion for instance ... The only problem is it has to be raised everytime new levels are published
Based on what I was told long ago by FDG, if they lower the limit, the hackers stay off even if they raise right back up - they have to come back and hack the score again. I suspect that real scores are also knocked off and stay off when it is raised back up, but all you would have to do to get it to show up again would be to go back to the leaderboard. Might be some quirks. Like right now my CO original score, which is the highest, still disappears. I now know (because FDG told me) that they set the limit below my score so it keeps disappearing. But I can get it to show up again just by pressing "Play". That takes me to the next screen which does show your points. Then I simply go back to check the leaderboard and, for a short time, my score will show. Anyway, I think any game that seems to get a hacker should periodically lower and then reraise the score (assuming the higher score is at least possible). Real players will come back and can easily do what I described to get their score to show again if it doesn't come back automatically, but hackers would have to take an extra step. But I think most hackers, at least for games that are no longer updated, get their score and soon never look at that game again. So knocking them off could keep them off for the most part.
Hmmm, I see XTX has a high score on 4-39 of 999. But isn't he a hacker? I can't see any way of getting close to that - only have 978 myself. So, what is the highest legit score? And if it is much higher than 978, I could use a hint before I break my screen in frustration! Oops! No sooner to I ask and I see a much better solution myself!
What's false? I asked a question because the name seemed familiar who might have been a hacker I've seen before. Could be wrong - which is why I asked. Feel free to pass me. It isn't exactly like I'm challenging the very best players anyway.
Thanks for the info. Never been good at remembering names other than one or another being "familiar" and, other than the top players here, most names I've paid attention to are hackers from CO. Some I remember for sure are hackers but other names I'm not sure about. Well, now I know 999 is possible on that level, though I sure haven't gotten there!
dbk, I got 998 and I believe 999 is possible, I only don't have Shaun's magic fingers. Hint: you don't want to use the little wheel. P.S. could somebody point me to that spreadsheet? I don't read this thread on a regular basis.
