If Valve does not want fans that do porting Counter Strike on iOS devices. A talantische friuns able to make from scratch a mobile version of the famous shooter Counter Strike 1.6, based on the engine, Unity 3D. The game is not a port - it is written from the ground game with the textures of CS 1.6 and has the name of CS Portable. Impressive, I will tell you, even the most ... Counter Strike is an infinitely better game. Where are the actual download links? This seems hella shady.
On PC, yes. But I don't think it would work so well if it was ported to iOS. Modern Combat 3 on the other hand was made specifically for iOS and plays great with touch screen controls.
Eh just because MC3 has hefty amounts of auto-aim doesn't necessarily make it a better game. The core of Counter-Strike, as well as its maps, are both just much more fun.
The funny thing is, that Modern Combat 3s controlls work so well that it DOESEN'T need ANY Auto-Aim. That's why almost all lobbys in the multiplayer have it turned off, and I really don't see a reason to turn it on. Just because auto aim on is the default option for the singleplayer doesen't mean it's the only option or the best option.
According to the Forum v1.34b seem to be the newest Version: http://ul.to/nh9em520 http://www.mediafire.com/?rr59hgk4zhn49ab According to the Google Translation it seem to use Unity3D. I had thought that the Developer would have used the UDK because of the Background of that Engine but I guess at the End Unity3D should be also able to
At one point there was a MiniCS game I bookmarked on AppShopper. http://appshopper.com/games/minics It's missing from the App Store now, and the game looked shady anyway. Probably better to stick with Deadlock or whatever than to look for a CS clone. CS is still The Game (tm). There's nothing that came close to the enjoyment of that game. I've heard there's a new one in the works....
That's CS: Global Offense. Can't wait. So far I've spent 42 hours on CS Source and a bit of gameplay in 1.6 on my cousin's computer. Many years ago.
Oh man, I've probably spent 4000 hours on CS 1.6 and CS:S. Man I used to play that game 24/7. Ran my own server for a while, had tons of custom weapon images, sprites, tags, sounds, a million maps downloaded for it .... no other game even comes close to CS!
Even though I knew it probably wouldn't work I said what the hell and decided to try to sync it anyways. I actually got it installing then it said iTunes failed to install the software... lol the dev should consider distributing this in mass amounts via ad hoc builds EDIT: is there a way to install via iexplorer. that could be a work around
Here's what I did with my jailbroken IPhone 4 to get it to install (it needs to be a jailbroken IPhone) What you need: IFiles, *, ITunes, VLC (or an app that has a folder show up in ITunes when the IPhone is connected) I have VLC on my IPhone, so from ITunes, I went to Apps, and added the CS Portable ipa of CS 1.6 to my VLC folder. Then on my IPhone, I used IFiles to move the CS Portable ipa from my VLC folder to the * download folder and installed it from there. *TA won't let me write the name of this app (Starts w/ "In" ends w/ "ous")), I could use symbols to write the name, but I don't want to be banned.
Is there anyway I can get this to work without jail breaking? I love CS so much ugh but no way I would jail break.
Meh. I loved CS on PC, but I feel like it's just dated now. If someone redid the graphics to a new level I might enjoy it. But MC3 is just awesome. And no, there's no aim assist unless you turn it on. And just in case you sucked, doesn't mean the game sucks.
Search up Counter Strike Global Offense. Edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=fvwp&v=XN9XCTpER3Y CS:GO on maximum settings.
