I also wonder if you might've completed a couple of passenger / licit trade missions without noticing? Not sure there's a popup to say those missions have been finished, except for a v v small clickable notification. If you genuinely haven't completed any missions, you must be *massively* in debt, due to wages and failed mission costs. If so, would love to know if that's having any effect! Still able to trade, retain staff, etc?
Really tempted by this game it sounds like something I might really like but not fully aware of the purpose of the game? Is it to earn money and get a better ship and upgrades to be able to earn even more money? Is it endless or does it end and make you restart or anything? Also it said about a choice of crew but I'm sure the number was pretty low like 6, is that really giving you a choice?
1. That's a good point. I guess you could ask what's the purpose of life. Only joshing. Not sure but I think there will be an end. There's a main story arc of missions you can follow at your own pace. But it's fairly treadmilly game at its core. I suppose you'd be able to carry on afterwards. There is a finite limit to how much you can trade each commodity at each planet. When their stock of a certain item is full they won't buy any more. Not sure if it depletes over time per planet (so you could revisit won same things again later). Also I've only explored a few devotes so far. Not sure how big the universe gets! 2. 8 crew max per ship. Many traits (it suggests to match crew with similar interests to not cause "personality problems") and areas they can be trained up in via promotion. But yeah they all kind of look alike so you have to be in to reading their profiles. They are quite funny some of them tho!
I was going to get this, until I found it's still in early access. How do you release a game in early access, on steam, to mobile?
Hi everyone, when first starting this game Im confused as well, so I would like to share this begginer tips for others so gou can wuickly understand the basic of the game. Pardon for my English as is not my main speaking language. Please not that Im not pro myself, so this is just beginner advise for newbie only. 1) I suggest you play campaign first, as your fisrt mission award is 10000 cash. But just do once is enough (for the beginning) as do few more give you none reward and you will soon face a tricky mission which ask you to carry illegal stuff... And make you harder to trade in different port until you complete it... Well very troublesome... 2) At first you should buy like this: - Crew: 2 pilot (faster travelling), 1 repair, 1 cleaner, 1 scientist - Building: 1 toilet, 1 sleep, 1 food, 1 passenger seat room, 1 scient room, and all the last one is store product room. Dont even bother by ammo or gun, you basicaly have no chance battle at the moment. 3) There are many way to make money but here is the easy one and less confusing at first, when you get to know the game better you can try different thing your way. - Remember I told you to bought 1 passenger seat room, well for the mission passenger you only want to take this kind at first which only have 2 passengers. As the more passengers require more facilities etc... - Besides the passenger mission, you can do the product transfer but only if it is easy, - Buy little of each of the product export type at each station and sell at other if it says profit. Remember just buy little each as the more tou buy products at one station the mote cheaper that product will be which you will have less proit when selling. 4) For the scientist research, I suggest your first one should be reaseach the skill that allow you to faster research. And after that, also with level 5 scient, every other research will take very short time, you can just do what you like. 5) Level up crew will make them need more thing to satisfy... So here is what I do at first. I level up cleaner and repair to lv2, pilot to lv5 and scient to lv5. You dont even need other room yet to satisfy their need, as long as tou have a fast pilot skill and the distance travel is 4, also make sure when you are at a station you should fast forward and look at down right side screen until you see all bar kind of little, then tou will be fine with all the satisfy... But of course when tou have more crews etc... You need to reseach and build more room to satisfy it, this is only tip for the beginning. Occasionaly if you didnt manage well, you will see a striking text next to your crew, you need to quickly stop them doing anything from the task bar until they are full green again. 6) Dont attend to do any battle at first, is just so crazy hard... My first attempt os when I make about 150k and buy prihanna eith two turret, 1500 bullets, upgrade almost all the turret reseach... And yet to destroy 1/5 of their health and all my bullets out... If you want to battle, i suggest you need to have scientist to activate shield, two tornado, good skill hacker... And remmeber if thing is bad then just force quit and reopen the game again. 7) last thing though, dont bother upgrade middle and outside ring, dont expect it will let you make way more money... In fact it just make you see more pirate... With a little experience, I think your first ship target should be the 120k which have many rooms, then save money for a 400-600k ship, you cando this in 1 - 2 days if tou get used to the game. I think this game is good, but not extremely great... I play it may be just because I have no other option of space trading game. If one thing I can suugest the game to i prove is just make the battle easier and come sooner, not everyone wanna do a game with just trading and trading at first, we want to blow up thing in second and take their cargo like Sky onf Fire 2 lol. For the record, Since playing this game I did quit and delete it 8 times due to frustration of lagging game, poor tutorial, slow battle...
Right. Cannons just fire @90 degrees to your line of travel (can't shoot straight ahead). Useful if in a constantly looping battle. Otherwise pointless.
This is pretty much what i did except i made the mistake of promoting my crew to level 5 and my pilots at 6. Thought it would be better for them to be promoted. Just got my first ship which is the one with 26 rooms. Trying to save up again for the next big ship. Trading still confuses me as iron is mostly needed on some missions but i have no clue which planet produces them. I remember some have but its not really shown at the planetary view not unless you take the time to stop by there and actually check. Overall a somewhat fun game. I just hope they fix the bugs. Ive been getting a lot of bugs and just recently an error that popped up during my game. Unhandled error of some sort. Hope they fix it soon and reduce some of the game's difficulty as well specifically in combat.
There are no iron producing planets in the starting system - you need to research (and travel to) other galaxies in order to find it. (Having posted that... There may be an iron producer in another system of the starting three; I only found one two researched systems away though - in the same sector (different system) to the second part of the parrot's mission).
Also, IMO characters / crew become more interesting in mid game. If you want a crew that can fully man a torpedo, cannons, and three turrets whilst providing a shield, piloting and hacking... Then you need at least two or three crew with shooter as a secondary skill. In addition to primary shooters. That way, you're using your full crew both in normal flight, and in combat. When I realised that, I levelled all my crew to l6. And found that about three quarters of them were cooks (ouch) and one of them was a l1 pilot (not so useful when you've got two l5s!) Am beginning to lose the initial excitement of the game, particularly w long loading times. But next step is def. unlocking crew's second trait, and considering whether to replace them with a bit of scouting.
And... fwiw... in early game, i found the system just above and to the left of the home system to be the most useful for trade. Iirc, it has wood production, two farm systems, and two robot systems. The latter two make it possible to accept a "deliver as many x as possible to..." mission, fly between the two producers as many times as possible (cargo hold size dependent), flop to your target planet, and collect your winnings. If you've got good capital & a decent hold, it's easily possible to deliver 30 robots @ 2,800 (cost: 1,500-2,000ish). Wood and food offer similar potential gains, but fownscaled a bit.
O Lord. A L5 cleaner with bonus L1 hack and cook traits *facepalm* This is a prime candidate for a swift firing
Yeah, i pretty much unlocked all middle and outer rim systems. Dunno how i did it but i was trying to prevent that. Probably from researching all buildings that it unlocked the rims as well. Was actually looking into researching the galaxies next for better trading options. Im not doijg the mission atm just looking into getting more money to probably get a better ship but still somewhat struggling with trading and passenger missions. Not sure which is worth it lol so i bought 2 6seater passenger room and 4 storage rooms giving a total of 24 slots. So yeah, maximizing my trips from one planet to another by selecting passenger and trade missions plus buying some stuff in the market for potential trades off the side.
Pretty excited for this game! A few hours just escaped me while playing. That's a pretty good sign! Love the openness and depth here, serious fun. I hate that it's getting slammed on the App Store though..
I love it too... The idea, art, style, freedom, humour.... Just wish would fix it for iPhone to make it more enjoyable as at moment, I don't play it too much because of the blur graphics. But once they are patched, I will be all over this
Any chances resolution will get patched? On iPhone 6+ it's unbearable. The game it's fun, but blurry graphics, low resolution textures and tiny text/icons doesn't make any justice to it. I'm actually thinking about asking for a refund. It's 6,99 in Europe, which is a lot considering the quality that offers similar games with same price tag. I bought Monster Hunter Unite for the same price, for example, and it simply runs flawlessly.
I love the game. But it.crashes a lot. Fix it. I laid 7 bucks for a game it shouldn't crash every ten minutes. I love it and I finally got the hang of how to make money and trade....but it crashes, and the battle system is horrendous.
