I received the code, signed into iTunes and it says. "Your app is now downloading". Yet it's not downloaded and nothing shows up on my home screen or purchased section on iTunes.

Hmm, that's strange. What device are you running on? Do you have any problems with your internet connection? It might just take a while. I've you want to private message me I'll try to troubleshoot with you.

Edit: There's a little circular loading bar around the stop symbol when while it's downloading. It may be that it's still downloading. The ring around the stop symbol needs to be fully filled before it's finished.

Thanks for the promo code. It worked for me. One question... I do not hear the music. Is there any?

No worries! There's no music in the game at the moment, just sound effects. It might be something I'll add in an update if I can afford to pay for it. I'm weighing up which new features should go in next.

This game looks pretty awesome. I don't think anyone can accuse you of stealing ideas because this is an original concept when it comes to runners and portals. I wouldn't mind seeing you use the same concept in more of a puzzle platformer setting though.

Thanks very much! Yes it was something I thought about earlier on, maybe if I manage a sequel, eh ;)

Yeah, I some sort of spinoff would be good depending how the mechanic catches on. What price are you looking at for this?

It'll be US 99c to start off, hopefully people think that's reasonable. Somewhere down the line I might go with a free version with ads.

Thanks for the promo!!! This game is great. I love the entire game mechanic. Truely fantastic. The gameplay is very fun but the graphics and icon look pretty bad. That's not a big problem for me but it might turn others off and they would be missing out on this really good unique game. I recommend it!

Thanks coolpepper, appreciate the feedback! Yes graphics were something of a learning curve for me, they definitely could be improved (although the later levels are a bit better IMO). I'll need to weigh up what's more valuable, better graphics or new features. It's a solid point though.

That seems reasonable. I've always kind of wondered how much money ads generate. I guess you could start premium, then transition to free with ads if necessary and just give the initial buyers an ad-free upgrade free if charge.

I'd say update the graphics as possible, maybe just to polish them up a little. I do like the style though. I agree that the icon could use work, but that is fairly simple. Features are definitely important, but I'd say try to add some minor features and graphics changes each update until you and the users are satisfied. Then you can focus solely on features.

Yeah, good points. I've got a friend that does graphics professionally. I'll see what his rates are. Can I ask what in particular ye don't like about the icon? Is it too generic, or is there something more specific?

If I'm right in thinking that you're profile pic is the icon, then I think you make it look a game oriented towards younger children, like a Toca Boca game. I'm not sure how to improve it with the current graphics. Maybes badger half-out of a portal or something? I think it's good enough to start, but as soon as you change the graphics, I would try to adjust the icon accordingly.

The icon looks like it's for a British children's book.

Yeah that's a fair point. I thought about using the portal or having some sort of space background but the problem with that was that it's black on black, so I looked at other examples of icons where the character stood out more (like Jetpack Joyride). It's going on my list of things to address though.

Haha, maybe he is British. I'l just stick in a monocle and top hat and he's done. That's what they look like, right?

This game has a pretty unique feel to it. Endless runner with concept from portal. It's pretty fun. I am sure I can recommend this to those who like endless runner games. A few points. I have to agree with some that the graphics need some work. I think it looks a little dull. Not sure if you are trying to keep things with a simple clean look but imho it does not meet any of those. Also I know some already ask about this but lack of background music. I am one who always believe good sound is also part of a good game. Sound is something that can take game play into another level by giving gamer that other level of immersion which is lacking here. So while the game is fun and unique, it plays dull with the look and lack of music. Also you need to add screen rotation feature too. Like the current orientation is not how I normally hold my iPad while in landscape. Not really a deal break or game breaking but I think it's good to have it there. Like if I have my tablet plugin while playing I should have my choice to change my orientation to make myself comfortable instead of I have to shift myself to make the tablet less awkward while holding it with the cable plugged in. :)

Thanks Kopicha! I'm not trying to really achieve any sort of clean look, just did the best with my own ability. I got better at making sprites as I went along and revisited some of the levels. I think that reflects a little more in the later levels. Check out the screenshots in the press pack (although obviously I'm not saying they're perfect yet either). The earlier levels (i.e. the first two stages) I spent less time revisiting so I'd agree that they could use some more work.

I have a whole heap of features on my list to add in future updates, including revisited sprites, animated backgrounds, particle effects and of course in-game music. The level of interest at launch will determine how much time I spend working on these. I'd like to think there's potential here though so fingers crossed.

This is all reassuring feedback! The sound and graphics are easy to change, the gameplay is not, so I'm glad people are enjoying it so far :)

Honestly, even if it doesn't do amazing at launch, I would keep working. If you generate enough forum interest you could get featured on TouchArcade and then go from there. The concept is great, and I think it's one a lot of people would be interested in.
