Very nice idea and execution, good content, but Im simply not enjoying it. The gameplay mechanichs are too repetitive and somewhat slow, Im not having fun while playing it. Could be just me though.
I like it so far. I'd be surprised if it really was the only into-the-screen runner, though I can't think of another off the top of my head. But yeah, I'm enjoying it. Nice production values (the voice acting's not too bad, and I'm amused the cheerleader is British ), reasonably challenging, no feeling of a paywall so far, and it has me interested to keep playing. It's a little weird you can "die" but pass a stage because you cleared a mission, but it's hardly a dealbreaker.
^There is no paywall at all. From what i see, the things i have personally brought up in beta testing seem to have been rectified, which means these are devs that listen to feedback. There werent paywalls at all back in beta, but it was a lot difficult because of how much luck could be involved to be able to complete missions. From what i have noted down, it feels like they have been nerfed in this final version, which is a huge improvement IMO.
I respect your opinion the game, I just think it's a bit unfair to criticize a runner game for being repetitive, as these types of games thrive from that fact in general.
Wasn't very sure about this. I knew I was gonna have to give it a go tho and I'm finding it a delightful twist on the same old same old. Cool characters and gameplay mechs. Not finding myself bored after 15 min of play time. Kudos n cheers to the dev.
Wow just clocked a solid 30 min's on this and I'm really impressed. Runners, are by nature, repetitive. But I happen to love endless runners and have played a good amount of them all on the App Store. This is really good content here, with new weapons to unlock and buffs u can arm (after unlocking by getting all characters to a certain classroom) right before a run starts. I was really really REALLY pleased that the game has a Tapjoy reward system to easily build up gold. Yes this game is going to be a bit of a grind, but this is not offensive at all and actually rewards players for playing daily and working towards higher ranks. All in all, an awesome game! I have one request, and that would be Gamecenter leaderboards (unless I'm somehow missing where they're at). Fantastic job devs. ExactPsience, glad to hear your observations were taken into account. Devs, thanks for listening, this game rocks.
This has to be one of the most enjoyable ever runners I have played, the characters are cool and there's some nice variation in the gameplay with the picking up of weapons. I am very amused by the British cheerleader too, I think it has to be the most British character in IOS history, "Shite!" # If anybody would like to add me on GC for this game then please feel free to add me under Deckard740 as I would love some more competition on the leaderboard #
Does buying the doubler also disable ads, by any chance? EDIT: Nope, doesn't look like it. Bought though and I'll most likely buy the ad-disabler too. Love the game.
Excellent mission structure with rotating characters, beautiful graphics, an interesting concept, but I'm with istako. Very repetitive, slow, and shallow main gameplay. It's not unfair to criticize a runner game for being repetitive. Other runners like Run n Gun, Temple Run 2, and One Epic Knight are examples of runners that have a great progression system and plenty of variety in environments and gameplay. This one you're just waiting for something to appear on one side of your screen and then reacting to it. It's like a fancy runner skin built around the gameplay of Fist of Fury. The shooting ends up being repetitive as well because there's only one strategy whatever gun you use: wait for zombies to get close then headshot them. I like the different mission trees for each character, but it's pretty shallow because they don't have any distinct abilities. You can swap around the missions for each character and the experience is the same. It's not like each character has a unique perk.
A really enjoyable runner. A shame it lags a bit on my ancient iPad2, but I still like it nonetheless. There should be a way start another run faster though, after each run you must access your room again, then you gotta pick perks, only after that can you play. For now that's the only thing I don't particularly like about Corridor Z, good job Mass Creation!
