as much as I hate to say it (because of how much respect I have for the devs - not because I don't want to agree with you)... I completely agree. =oP
Wow, this is a wonderful surprise! The original was one of the really "wow" platformers of the time, and as others have said, the devs uphold a high standard of quality. I can't wait to fire this up and see what's new this time!
Appstore Editor's choice in my country also!!! The game totally rocks... One of the best platforms, become ever better... The graphics are awesome, the controls excellent and the mix of the genres is a more than welcome surprise... I like that except the classic platforming there is levels that you fly like Jetpack joyride or you fly above like doodle jump or you solve puzzles... Totally deserves the price. Hope it gets more attention than the first one!
Game Impressions Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel One of my GOTY Nominee (Platformer) and I don`t even know how someone will top it. Besides Rayman Legend (Yes I know that it hasn`t been yet announced for iOS so you will have just to trust me on this one) currently my Number One Platformer on iOS in 2013.
I'm really trying not to like the damn game because of my silly stance on the cosmetic IAP, but godamnit it's really, really, REALLY, REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLY good!
I agree with this statement a 100%!!!This is the best platformer experience I've had on the IOS period..Its how sonic/rayman should have been brought to IOS..The depth, the accuracy of the controls, the over-all polish of the game is insanely awesome..This is AAA on a console level!! I suddenly remember the statements of the video games analysts about translating the console platformers to touch screen..That they should be auto-running,have one touch controls and be toned down as to somewhat, a lite version..Clearly no-one told Sivertree media about this or they simply did not hear it.. AMAZING!!!!GOTY MATERIAL!!
I just played the first four free levels, it is just as amazing as the first game. Looks beautiful, plays perfectly, and its fun. It's got everything going for it. I wish they would discount the first game (full game) in light of this second release.
And simultaneous Android release as well! Sorry, sorry, I know it's an iOS forum, just I want it on the device with the bigger screen... ...but yeah, the first Cordy was a gem. Can't wait to give this a shot. Downloading now.
Here's a particularly glowing review from Kotaku: http://kotaku.com/5982814/mobile-gamings-platforming-hero-returns-++-one-part-mario-one-part-sonic
It reads more like someone has written it between an toilet run to have something Online when the Game does appear on the iTunes/Android Store. When Kotaku announced ealier this Year that they now will feature mobile Games on a regular base I had expected from them to actually take the time to really write something about it and not put something together that seem to be shorter then the iTunes Store Description
Ok, I really really dislike platformers on IOS in general but my god this game is spot on in every aspect. GREAT controls, GREAT controls... Fantastic gameplay not tedious at all.. Great graphics. Wonderful game.
Superb, but I'm not downloading it. I want to purchase a complete app; not an unlock. iTunes isn't the most robust content management system, there are very few rules governing the publisher/developer side of the transaction, and the developers who populate it with apps aren't the most...stable and trustworthy companies (to put it nicely).
Damn these time stars are a whole hell of a lot harder to snag than the original Cordy's! And Greyskull... I'd feel the same if they didn't already have a collection of apps on both iOS and android... Then again, Cordy has also never been deleted since installing it... And with the way I upgrade devices (switch off every year, iPod/iPhone one year, iPad the next)... If I don't get $5 of enjoyment after two years, the game isn't worth buying. Just... You're missing out on one hell of a great platforming experience if you pass it up... And I hate to see that. Wish you could gift IAPs to people... =o/
