I'd like to announce the release of Cookie Ghost - a hyper-casual game designed to be played by one hand. This is now available on Google Play. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.godotengine.cookieghost It's the year 4032. Humans are long gone, and the forest has taken over the world. Amid prolonged silence, aliens from a distant galaxy are looking forward to colonizing Earth with their two most deadly weapons - a cookie and a weapon which is unheard of till now. In the chaos, there's only one superhero standing in their way - a ghost of a past relic. Will you command the ghost and defend the Earth from another destruction? Features: > Supports Gamepad (tested on 8Bitdo Sn30 Pro+) > Supports mouse (left click) and Keyboard (Space, Up and Down, Enter) > Touchscreen > Day and night background cycle > Increased difficulty level > Random background > Haptic feedback How to play: > Control the Ghost by tapping the screen to make it jump (Flappy). Tap and hold the screen for continuous flight. > Avoid the UFO > Avoid staying on top > Avoid staying on the ground > Avoid brown smiling projectile > Above all eat the cookies Art and asset credits: https://cookieghostgame.blogspot.com/2022/01/art-and-asset-credits.html Sample gameplay below
When building this game, I made the below goals for this game: 1. Hyper casual game 2. Continuous game flow 3. Difficult enough to make the game session short 4. Single hand control 5. Important assets to be Pixel art 6. Use actual music to replicate 80's synth sound style but not 8bit soundtrack which may affect the ear when using an earphone 7. Simple enough to be used without hints Well, with the above goals, I've limited myself to quite an extent, and I need some feedback to make this game more interesting.
Minor update to come soon: > Screen rotates correctly if device has auto-rotation set. > Ghost doesn't die when staying too long on the bottom of the screen. Only the score reduces every second.
What's new: > Gradual increase in the number of UFOs and random movement > New background and soundtracks > Minor fixes
