Blasphemy! Calling Ayahuasca a hallucinogenic. 'Psychedelic' please.

I'm planning on a trip to Peru in the next 6 years.

Nice. I had already noticed about the existencial trip that the messages reflect, since you told me they were all real things. I interpret the "a field to lay down" message as a place to relax and forget about your daily problems. It's so difficult to find a place like that...

Thanks Jasonoda, that article and the link about your own experience was really insightful :)

I hope you'll get attention on Steam too, I really enjoyed playing your game (and still do, but I'm drowning under work at the moment so kinda on a "playing hiatus" right now :D)

And, again, to anyone reading this : I really encourage you to try this game.
Music is great, action is cool, and it's full of great little things that definately make it worth it.

Thanks! I like knowing the in-depth of this game. It's truly amazing that you've been able to make such a piece of art from bizarre experiences. Sure, it's not for everyone, but there are some of us who enjoy the experience. As you say: this game is to be played while you're relaxed and have time to meditate about existence :)

So should I start bugging TA for a review now? or just sit tight?

    Wait.

They do fairly in-depth reviews. Sometimes it can take 2, 3, even 4 (any very rarely longer) weeks before a review will pop up. For example, recently, Sorcery 2 was reviewed about 5 weeks after it's release... And if they were waiting for the control update...

Thanks for sharing and the new controls are a real step up. The floating analog stick really feels more natural here. :)
    Updating my itunes review soon!

    I'm interested.

    But...
The screen flickering... All the flickering lights... The open doors flashing at hyper speed... It's all so annoying and obnoxious. :(

Remove all the flickering from the iOS version! Please! My eyes will thank you!

And the things at the top right of the screen (including your HP) are so tiny on an iPhone.

Added clearer (maybe too clear) instructions to Continue today in the form of an instruction booklet. This will come along with 1.4 which I guess will be out eventually. I wanted the instructions to feel really outside the normal game...but do you think it should look more DOSy instead? I don't know anymore...the game is so weird, this can't be too off and it's kind of a fun idea.

Looks like it's going to hit the Humble Bundle main store later today and Steam in the new year. Let's hope it's easier to sell copies over there than it is in the itunes store. Still sooo in the red. Made it to the New section of Adventure games for 1 day...then got pushed out. No real bump in sales. This is tuff.

The pic looks very Bioshock Infinite-Like, if that makes sense to you. It does look great in itself but maybe it should be mor congruent with the whole game, as to not take you out of the experience too much.

So for my par more DOSy would be better, or maybe just inverting the coloscheme is enough. the game is generaly more dark, so a bright coloured tutorial might be too much breaking the immersion.

As for the descriptiveness, yes the original was pretty vague and I felt pretty lost but doing too much might also ruin the 'magic'. With this game you won't eclipse Angry Birds, that's for sure and I think your potential audience might like it things to be not so guided.

And for the flickering, yes optional would be great or maybe just a nice light pulsing. The flickering surely added something but I can totally see why people get annoyed by it, not to forget of those with epileptic tendencies.

This is just my 2 cents.

I'd really wish this game does well.

    cheers :)
PS: left an updated 5 star review in the German store.

I played again and noticed that my control options were default. Default joystick and default jump button position. It didn't save them. Kind of annoying.

Yeah, had that in the original build of 1.3, but after submitting to apple realized I needed to pull the build and immediately resubmit without that save feature because of a fatal bug it could cause. It seemed that if I saved the control scheme, but someone had a previously saved game with v 1.2 without that slot in the save game for the controls, the game would get frozen. In my haste to get out the update I had to leave some of these little things out. Will work on that.

Going to experiment with a couple other things today.

What about the other things I said? The annoying rapid flickering and the tiny health/money/time display?

    The flickering is too much.
The displayed stats are very small.

    >Breaking down, he said "You are our treasure."

    Hey man, that is priceless.

    Bought.

Aw crap, I'm a sucker for good stories and anyone who can craft a game after an Ayahuasca experience.

Hope you stick to your visions and see your way through it all.

Gotta go through God of Blades and Frozen Synapse first though

Haven't had any complaints about this, sorry if it's a bit hard on the eyes. I'll try to curb some of the more egregious flashing. Sorry.

Glad you like the real story! Can't wait to hear what you think.
