This game needs and deserves more coverage in the media. Wish I knew how but so far all I can do is write reviews wherever possible.

Come on guys. Lets get some ideas together.

First the update needs to hit. No sense in crippling reviews before they happen. Once the update is available then just keep posting about the game and maybe it'll grab the attention of the powers that be.

Agree. The update was made to fix/change things that players such as I found could be improved. If the game gets reviews now, they will have the "no autorotate/control alternatives available" comments. It's better to get things done correctly.

@Jasonoda: I know a little more than 1,000 sales is not what you expected, but I think that it could improve if you continue taking care of your game as you've done until now. Just be patient a few weeks, try to do some marketing when the update hits and see how things flow.

"Food", lmao. I get the sense that this guy really doesn't understand what this game is about. If you're just wandering around waiting for battle events then you obviously haven't figured out what you're supposed to do. Frankly, I don't get it why people have such a hard time to figure out the basic mechanics and goals, I mean I survived my first storm on my second run. I guess a lot of people are used to games that tell you exactly what you're supposed to do. I for one am so glad to see something different for a change.

Ha! My favorite inaccuracy is this:

WHERE ARE YOU GETTING THIS STUFF??????!!!!!!!! :D Someone didn't get to the shelter level.

    Also, did you know?: foo

Haha, I didn't even notice he said that. ._. I wish TA would do a review, hopefully they will after the update.

That's my favourite inaccuracy too. For one who's played the game, that sencence = you didn't understand anything of the game. Nothing. Nada...

I didn't survive the first storm until my 3rd-4th game, but it was because I suck at remembering what the game tells me. "Put X in temple A", and I put X in temple B... Boom! One shelter less (or two, or three,... :D). Reviewers of this game should dedicate more time to playing this game, rather than rushing out the review.

And of course, the "with better controls..." comment deserves a "hey reviewer, check the Internet, there's an update coming as soon as Apple gives the green light."

    How about accurate things?

    My favorite?

No, I think the bulk of the review did just fine. Mission accomplished.;):D

I like this review. Unfortunately, they don't mention an update is under way. @JasonOda, maybe you should drop a line to all the media whom you've given a code for review purposes to let them know about the update. These things are usually worth mentioning.

I've seen many of my apps updated between yesterday and today. It might be coincidence, but I hope Apple is giving rhythm to the app control before Christmas closure.

Though I improved the instructions and made them easier to access, I think in the next version I am going to make an illustrated tutorial that is targeted towards explaining everything in the most painstaking detail possible. I didn't want to have to do this, because I wanted people to explore and figure it out, but too many people site confusion as something that makes them hate the game. I also think, lots of people just skip the instructions and then complain about being confused.

I wanted the entire game to be artistic and that's why I did things like not put some giant stupid logo of my name on the loading page and not have a splash screen. Having a tutorial will kind of take people out of that a bit, but it's probably just necessary.

Just make sure you add an option to disable the tutorial if you decide to go along with this. Or make it accessible say either by pausing the game or by choosing to speak to an NPC right at the beginning or something. That way it wouldn't interfere too much, I think. For me part of the beauty of this game has definitely been to figure things out on my own, and I think it would be good to allow players to experience this if they want to. I certainly don't want any popup hints, but I don't think you'd go that far. :)

Did the price also increase, or was it always 3.99?

That's a shame as part of the charm and allure of this game has been its mystery and the fact that you've got to work through the initial confusion. Just make the tutorial optional if at all possible.
