...and you can't just do what your right hand is doing because? Also lol@the yellow light of death being used as a con. That's like saying a con of living on Earth is it occasionally gets smacked by an asteroid.
Play create and share applies to LBP, Modnation, and Joe Danger. It's a series of games with full level editors in them that have almost unlimited replay value.
Good point actually, I never really remember this but 360 games with level creation nearly always restrict you to downloading only from people on your friends list. Microsoft are too scared to make all content available to anyone in case they get sued because some kid draws a penis. Sony don't seem to mind.
Or maybe you need to recheck your console settings. This isn't a hypothetical guess or anything. There's a box that gives you the option (under family settings, I think) to download game content from everyone, or only friends. If you can only download stuff from friends, blame the devs.
Found this a while ago http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/30/nykos-silky-ps3-raven-controller-comes-in-regular-and-identit/ I'm sure it's not the only one
The devs get this question a lot. The answer is always that it's a Microsoft restriction. That's why Trials HD isn't half as fun as it should be, if you want an awesome track you have to find a forum, befriend someone who's made a decent one and then download it.
There are 360 games with those features & wii games too. Plus, I know what you mean about the tilting controller. How's the feedback(rumble) on the ps3?
That's what happens when you try to cater to people who can't just shut up and get used to something. New shoes are uncomfortable for a while too, but you persevere and eventually they feel like an extension of your own body. You guys wanna try holding a NES controller sometime.
I don't know, I turn off rumble because it gets annoying. "Play, Create, Share" is a Sony slogan (I think) like "make.believe" or "It only does everything". When choosing a console, it comes down to which exclusives you want, and which console your friends are on. I chose the exclusives over my friends (who all have 360's) and am plenty satisfied. Also, the button layout is great on the PS3, they just need to change the shape to look like a 360 controller, and make the R2 and L2 like the 360's. Then we'll all be happy, right
It's actually really good. Heavy Rain used the rumble a lot. Little pulses, sharp jolts(when you get punched or shoot), and more. It depends on the dev, but the dualshock controllers do great. But just to clarify, i like the 360 too. Crackdown and Mass Effect 2 are awesome games. But I just find the extra features and better exclusives make the PS3 a better choice.
cool thanks Donovan - I am looking to buy it after summer. As for Alpha Protocol - I have a couple friends on a DX forum who say it is worth playing despite its issues. I am waiting till it drops to the 20-30$ price range.
I've never really seen the appeal in force feedback in controllers. My first experience of it was the N64 rumble pak, I remember killing a boss and the controller vibrating for what seemed like an eternity, causing me to lose all the feeling in my hands. After that I didn't use it again. Then the next time I really noticed it was when I first got my 360 and GRAW... and it did exactly the same thing. Some part of the game made the controller vibrate for 30 seconds non-stop and I thought "this is gonna kill the battery", and disabled it permanently. I didn't even bother giving the DS3 a chance, the first thing I did was turn it off.
I really should finish off RDR. It's a great game but as usual I buy so many that new ones just take priority over older ones and it takes me forever to go back and complete them.
