inFAMOUS is shipping right now happy, I just posted the link because I thought it was a fair console wars, best I've seen.
To tell the truth, there is no console war right here. This is just something made up to help justify their purchases of all three great systems. The real console war is going on with console makers, developers, & publishers. That is were the real war is. The three systems are departing ways from each other. They are going different directions. The only true winner of the console wars is the consumer. BECAUSE THERE IS NO WINNER! It is a three way tie. It doesn't matter about what the console is & it's specs, look at the Dreamcast(R.I.P.). Lots of the best games are multiplatform, so it really doesn't matter. There are a couple exclusives each year for each system, big whoop. All three systems deserve to be appreciated for their greatness, but fanboys should not look past their systems cons. Flame away, because you are not going to look past your Fanboyism. But if you can, thank you.
Naturally, I'd be like "peace, love, happiness", but the three-way tie thing bugs me. Have we forgotten about...
I do agree, the person doing the video series was very collected and unbiased, and seemed to know what he was talking about.
This isn't console(it's flame). The 360 has no blu-ray(already have a player), no wand movement(have wii), paid online(I kindof of enjoy the paid thing; the ps3 has a gold but only with free dlc & discounted downloadable games). Unsymetrical controller( I choke up on the controller during games, so no biggy), some people have problems with the d-pad( I don't like the individual buttons; I buy warranties on all hardware anyways), rrod(doesn't occur in new slims & has warranties for 2-3 years). I encourage any PS3 & Wii fanboys to name their systems weaknesses.
So thank you for that input. That is now presented as the worst xbox game. Does anyone have a ps3 submission?
That was a good opinion. how about PS3 & Wii downsides. Wii- Waggle controls(dumbed down) Clunky online system(friend codes) Tons of shovelware Large amount of controllers & accessories( soon, shared problem with ps3) Worst graphics Doesn't play DVDs No Ethernet port(has wifi, or an adapter is needed) Pros: Innovative gameplay Introduced many people to gaming Cheapest(console & games on release) Smallest console Straightforward DLC pricing(100 points is a dollar) Nintendo Franchises Lightgun shooters
Alright, i'll try PS3 Pros: Lots of exclusives Blu-ray Free online multi-player Cons: Uncomfortable controllers Yellow light of death Worse multiplayer More expensive Not the best list...
That's a start. Can anyone elaborate on Playstation+? The new paid system. I also thought the PS3 had the same price as the slim. The Playstation does have some good looking exclusives such as God of War, MG Series, Mod Nation Racers, LBG, Rachet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, and several others. Man, several of there exclusives could make good buddy comedies. Ok, what is uncomfortable about the controller for you?
Well, I don't like the controller because it's symmetrical, and my left hand has to cramp down to use the joystick. It may not be a problem to others, but it's a problem for me. What I don't get is why no 3rd party has made a 360 like controller for the PS3... is it copyrighted or something?
I'm man enough to do that. Cons- USB charging only works when the system is on. Slow DLC releases (IE MW2 resurgence pack or whatever) No shadow complex. Slightly weird triggers. Expensive accessories. Pros- Twice as many exclusives as 360. Free demos. Don't need to pay to get them. Free multiplayer. Higher graphical capabilities. BluRay. Video editing. PS1 classics (And PS2 collection disks) Much more space on the games disks, which leads to extra features on PS3 multiplatform games. Much lower failure rate than 360. Much lower. Play, create, and share. FTW.
I don't understand the love for Little Big Planet... in my opinion it was one of the biggest loads of crap I have ever played. (In front of Turning Point: Fall of Liberty) LBP2 looks ok, LBP1 was just so terrible it made me feel sad for the discs that were subjected to being loaded with the game. Maybe overreacting, but you can plainly see I din't enjoy Little Big Planet.
I agree with most of your pros but really? "Play, create, share."? WTF is this I don't even!? Also disagree with the "Much lower failure rate than 360. Much lower." Originally, yes, but the 360 failure rate is much lower now. Still higher than the PS3, but not "Much higer than the PS3. Much Higher."
Pros: Free online Better exclusives Low failure rate Blu Ray Playstation+ Easy USB charging Built in hard drive and wifi Conttrollers have motion sensing abilities (like you can tilt it, it's hard to explain) Good for media storage PSone Classics and minis Cons: Controllers don't fit in hand Worse Multiplayer Can't play music while playing games Most multiplatform games look worse on PS3 No cross-game chat YLOD (even though it happens rarely) By the way, Xbox 360 and PS3 cost the same
