I voted PS3, even though I own a Wii. I've generally had more enjoyable experiences playing on my friends' PS3s, plus better games for me personally. The Wii's still good though, has some decent hardcore games, but not enough to cater to my personal tastes (which the PS3 does).
I've got them all and I use them all. Some of the best experiences this year have been on: 360: Bayonetta/Alan Wake PS3: Heavy Rain/God of War 3 Wii: No More Heroes 2/Super Mario Galaxy 2. In this day and age, you need to have them all to experience the best of gaming.
No, the SE is the same price, look it up on Amazon or something. I've never even heard of the Javelin hack, and you guys have so many hackers yourselves , you shouldn't even bring that up They're making it Move compatible 256 player games, in MAG... For the Record! EA is starting to do a partnership type deal with Sony, so since Mass Effect is owned by EA (I think) PS3 may get Mass Effect 3 the only exclusive series I really care about! That and Fable
Nintendo has the better exclusives hands down. Mario, Legend of Zelda, Kirby, Donkey Kong, and a lot more. But, PS3 has awesome exclusives too . Then 360 in last, and some of you will go but Halo, Gears, Mass Effect, Fable, and Forza don't count for much
No, but it's still an advantage. Plus of course there's the FFXIII scenario... the 360 version CGI looks like a pirate DVD rip while the PS3 version is Blu-ray quality. Here, see if you can get a grip on this:
I think it's more BioWare's decision than EA's; EA is just a publishing client as far as I know, and BioWare has mostly stuck to Microsoft in the past (Dragon Age exempt). But it could happen. Who knows? It seems to me like they would release the first two games before the third if that were to happen, though, to get as much income as possible. As to the original argument: Why would you keep yourself from buying a console just because of your personal vendettas? They all have their strong points and games you would only be hurting yourself not to play. But if I were to choose just one... I would have to say that the PS3 has emerged as the best all-around console. I use the 360 primarily and I can still admit that. Kinect looks like a complete gimmick, much like the Wii and its mass of shovelware, and Move has some potential, speaking in terms of motion controls. The PS3 deserves to be used for the games that have already been listed by others here as well as Blu-Ray and many other features. However, the 360 shouldn't be passed up for games like Alan Wake, Mass Effect, Gears, Halo: Reach (looking much better than its predecessors at the moment), Crackdown, Fable, and the slew of LIVE Arcade games. And Nintendo's got its round of old-but-slightly-refreshed-to-look-new games that most will want to pick up, as well as a bunch of new games to utilize the fancy hardware. Your non-purchase of a console is not going to hurt the company in any way, shape, or form. They've already got enough cash in their pockets that their endeavors are considered a success. So why would you do yourself a disservice by blocking yourself from all these great experiences?
No, the buttons need to stay the same & the d-pad needs to be connected. Really though, getting a old Wii game & an "ancient" MOH(which is only in the collectors edition) isn't that good.
The 360 d-pad isn't very good, the PS3 d-pad is THE best. The 360 controller feels awkward to hold because the analog sticks aren't placed like the PS3. Dead Space: Extraction with improved graphics from the Wii version. The MoH game is remastered for the PS3 and comes with the collector's edition which is $60! The same price as the Xbox 360 version that doesn't come with it! Does my text just go through your eye and out the other? Link to Gamestop http://bit.ly/di9xOB
You never wrote that, Donny Boy. Actually, I prefer the Xbox controller d-pad because it is a faster transition, not to mention the fact on an 360 controller, you're hands naturally glide up.
It's only gonna take five minutes of Street Fighter IV to prove the 360 d-pad isn't worth taking a dump on. Hell even in games that rarely use the d-pad it annoys me, any time I press up it decides I've pressed right, and when I press right... it does nothing, because the plastic doesn't fit the damn hole properly.
Voted PS3 since I like it's exclusives better. Though I like the 360's controller better, except for the horrible mushy dpad. Can't play any fighting games properly on it. I still like my 360 for Mass Effect and Gears, but most of the 360's "exclusives" aren't really exclusive anyways. Maybe I'll upgrade my PC and sell the 360 before it gives up on me.
Don't be so rough with it. My friends kept it for since launch, and his controllers still work perfect, and my friend abuses his, he tosses it, throws it down, mashes it, & still perfect. He
I'm on a Mac, and I don't do a whole lot of PC gaming, but FPS games PC vs Consoles, PC wins because you can do a 180 in a second and get precise aiming, etc.
