I definitely think Wii is one of the better consoles to take to uni. Drunken parties and Wii Sports is always a good combination. Just make sure no windows are open! Haha.
http://kotaku.com/5592953/four-fantastic-playstation-move-tech-demos-with-a-starcraft-twist If this is any indication of what the Move games are going to be like, Kinect can go jump into a bathtub of acid.
I don't think the tech is quite as accurate and reliable as MS would like us to think. Nearly every live tech demo I've seen has had a delay between the persons movements and what happens on screen, put that in a racing game and you're doomed. I'm not a fan of jumping about all over the place anyway, but I think the biggest problem so far is the games just look bad. It'll be great for the kids, virtual pets and dancing n' all that, but I can't see it being used for anything more in-depth. The lack of buttons means the control scheme has to stay simple which in turn means the game needs to be pretty simple too. What I really like about Move though is the way it almost emulates a mouse. Someone on here said recently he doesn't think an RTS will ever work on a console, but that tech demo seems to suggest it's quite possible.
I completely agree mate. It looks like really hard work with Kinect. I like playing Wii sometimes cause it doesn't force you to play like you are at the gym. Have you seen Child of Eden? That is one game I really think does look best suited for Kinect (if it wasn't for that at E3, I'd consider nothing noteworthy for Kinect)... However, I believe it's coming out for Move also. What do you think of the game?
What are you're top 5 fav developers? Mine are (in no particular order): Media Molecule, Naught Dog, Suckerpunch Studios, Insomniac Games, and can't think of a 5th atm...
Yeah that's definitely trippy. It looks like a budget game though, Rez wouldn't have sold too well in stores and I'm not sure this would hit a big enough market either, so... XBLA? RttaM you can have it. The difference between SD and HD will be night and day on a game like this so I'll just be glad to have the full experience Edit: also, you can see Kinect lagging again there. I wonder if they'll make the Move version intentionally floaty to match it or if aiming will be more responsive. Could affect reviews if it is, I've got a feeling they're gonna start picking up on this delay thing soon.
Why is anyone who says anything bad about the Wii a hater Oh you're saying the 360 has too many hardware problems? You're obviusly just a hater
I personally think Mario needs to take a break... Nintendo could make a crappy Mario game and it would sell like Twinkies at a fat person convention
I'm not implying that. In fact, some people have downright said the Wii is a piece of shit, on these forums. If they say that they OBVIOUSLY hate it. I may have called the xBox 360 a piece of shit a few times, but that doesn't stop be from playing it. You can occasionally find me playing either GTA BOGT: Online or MW2. Don't try to start an argument.
But Nintendo continues to make fantastic Mario games (aside from the sports ones) so why should they stop. When they involve Mario Nintendo always seems to be devoted to making a quality product and get rewarded for doing so.
