Same thing with Apple, but that doesn't mean it's not stealing. You're giving what everyone else had to pay for to 4 of your friends for free. Not only that, but the devs that worked countless hours making sure everything worked great for you guys don't get a dime in return. That's called piracy. And don't call me "buddy".
Blame it on the Sony PR dude who "OK'd" the practise said "it's not about nickel and diming the customers, it's about getting the games into the hands of the gamers". He basically said they can afford for this to happen in reasonable doses because of the awareness it creates about the software.
yea through psn, you do know that only the devs that agree to this can get authorized, e.g. that zombie game cant be transfered to ps3s... yea so if the devs agree, and sony allows it... its piracy appearently?
It doesn't work with GT5 Prologue either. Didn't work with Warhawk but now it does... perhaps they wanted the extra exposure after the player numbers started to die down.
Also his first statement says that what everyone else payed for... I payed for it too, so that I could play it with 4 of my friends. -_- I dunno but to me thats a + on the PS3. Gives all them fun games much more exposure...
Dude, it's a PS3 not a 360 Seriously though, you only need one spare slot. It's possible to persuade Sony to deactivate the old one if you don't manage to do it yourself before it breaks, though I'm not sure how.

Ehh, if you have the money to upgrade it and you'll still be missing out on the best exclusives. The best series you have is Half Life (Which isn't actually exclusive). Consoles have Mario, Sonic, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Jak and Daxter, inFamous, Uncharted, Resistance, LittleBigPlanet, Modnation Racers, MAG, Killzone, God of War, etc. Do you have games that compare with those? That are PC exclusive? No? I thought so.
No one even really discusses PC gaming anymore, they just discuss the odd individual game that occasionally crops up out of nowhere. Despite that, there's always "that guy" who likes to burst into console threads and spout off about how superior PCs are just because he's got no thumbs to move a stick with.
Old post, but worth bumping 'cause I just read the press release about Mafia II getting exclusive DLC on the PS3. Quite a hit, Mafia II has gotta be one of the most anticipated releases of the 3rd quarter.
Yah, PS3 gets it's fair share of exclusive DLC or early DLC, but you're getting the DLC at the same time as everyone else with your console so it's not a big deal. PS3 has the best 3D Platformers (Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, inFamous, Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet etc.) then the Wii (Mario Galaxy and others)
True! But, I still love the console experience. I buy laptops, so gamings not really possible with it being a cheap Toshiba, runs "05 games like cr@p, & I don't have the money to upgrade the graphics/processor with current tech until at least "11.
