Not really, XBL is better, but if PS3 would add a party system and cross game voice chat, it would make them almost even
No, by far XBL is better simply for cross-game chatting. I didn't even know PS3 didn't have that until now! That sucks!
Yes, yes it does... and Sony knows we want it, but they don't add it for no apparent reason. We can't play music in game either if they added those the PS3 would be awesome
I've read in a game magazine Sony and Nintendo are considering making us pay to use the online network (Like Microsoft with XBlive) That really sucks..
Oh.. few.. I would never have payed for online.. I think Microsoft are ripping people off. Sony are doing the right thing having online gaming free, good marketing choice.
I think that because of the revenue created from charging for LIVE Microsoft can support a better online and are going to invest in it. As is apparrent by it's ever-expanding set of features. If Sony isn't making any money from the PSN then they aren't going to invest anything into it, erego LIVE will be much better than PSN.
But never better by a big enough margin to be worth spending money on when you own both consoles and PSN is still a great service.
Yes, and it's argued a lot by 360 owners who are under the impression PSN is a broken, unreliable service when truth be told, it's pretty damn good and they've never tried it.
Wow, Hmar must really, really love his Xbox. Continuous posting about how good it is, refusal to acknowledge its flaws, willing to jump on any tiny flaw of other consoles...I think we all know what these are classic symptoms of.
I've never had any issues over PSN. Never had lag, never been disconnected. For someone who can't stand chatting while playing games, it's a near faultless service. If you like a chin wag and a good slanging match while playing, XBL is the obvious choice.
PSN is great! But the main reason Sony made PS+ was to make that money so that they can improve their online. 360 fanboys (like hmar) aren't willing to say their console sucks, they'd truthfully rather fut off a finger But PSN is NOT broken, there are many small features that need to be added and one big feature (cross-game voice chat). I think PS+ will fund them to do that.
I'm considering getting PSN, it doesn't sound half - bad... Yea, I don't know why they would wanna fut off a finger, I would hate to do that!
Don't you even go there sister, My thoughts are: My Xbox 360 serves all of my wants and needs, I much prefer the controller to other designs simply for comfort, XBL is better than PSN (however marginally), although it sucks that you need to pay for XBL Gold. 'Refusal to acknowledge it's flaws' Wrong, in fact, not two days ago I shelled out another $450 (AUD) to buy a new Xbox because my old one got the Red Ring. I am pissed of at Microsoft for that but what can I do? It overheats, my copy of World at War got laser burned which also pissed me off but I don't really care because for all of it's flaws, the 360 caters to me and my needs which is what I want at the end of the day. It may not suit you and your lifestyle, but you are not me. Oh and Midian (sorry, it's difficult quoting on an iPad) "Yes, and it's argued a lot by 360 owners who are under the impression PSN is a broken, unreliable service when truth be told, it's pretty damn good and they've never tried it." Ok, maybe arguable wasn't the right word but my point was that Xbox live is the service that caters to my wants the most. I simply wouldn't be as satisfied with the PSN. And don't accuse me of having not tried the PSN. I have played on it a LOT at my friends houses, and here in Australia where Internet sucks, the difference between services is exponentially greater.
I should point out I made sure not to aim my reply directly at you Hmar, I wasn't gonna point fingers but everyone else seems to have done it for me.
Apologies, but it does seem as though it could have been aimed at me. Just pissed off at Donovan and Eduku for calling me a fanboy. If I was a fanboy, I would probably have bad English, be typing with caps-lock on, and be using arguments with no cohesion at all, that simply aim to insult people... "360 fanboys (like hmar) aren't willing to say their console sucks" Look familiar? This last bit is not aimed at anyone in particular, but I am just trying to have a decent discussion, and I thought I had been achieving that until now, unlike all of the other threads on this topic that just end in people throwing insults at each other. If you don't want to have a civil discussion then I will leave.
No worries man, I can see you prefer the 360 and like to stick up for it but you do it reasonably, the same way I try to for the PS3.
