    PS3 > 360 > Wii

    However...

    XBL > PSN (+) > Nintendo Online

Im not very much more of a fan of my PS3 than my 360. I just happen to have more games for my PS3 than my 360 atm. But Xbox Live is far superior to Playstation Network or PSN+. I havn't gotten PSN+ yet but I probably will in the future. It's just hard to cough up extra money for Sony to only have a few cool features... I dont think in which are worth the $50 you have to pay. But who knows, the betas and what not are probably good.

It's hard to sell a service that's more of an improvement than a whole new full-fledged, well, service. When you pay for Live (and don't give me any money complaints, the highest it'll cost you a month at a time is $6) you get multiplayer, demos, and access to multimedia. Everything all at once. If you don't pay, you don't have any of those things. With PSN+... what exactly is it you're getting? Seem more like wants than needs.

The thing is that PS+ and Live are completely different. Live gives you all the online features, etc. but PS+ gives you a bunch of games, trials, etc. in addition to your already free service. So you can't compare Live and PS+.

Yeah you can, P+ gives you the stuff most people don't care about.

Yeah, that's why you compare. You compare the differences.

... no, you kinda can. Live gives you everything in one swoop. PSN+ just gives you the stuff that's suppose to be free. It's a really weird system, IMO.

Well other than downloads when PS3 is off, what else should be free  that's like the only feature there

At least we can all agree on the fact that Wii has the worst online of the three.

Even as a Wii-only owner, I can agree with that. Trying to play Tatsunoko vs Capcom online sometimes gets really irritating, both Capcom's and Nintendo's fault really.

Here's how I think they should improve each console:

Wii: HD graphics, better online, media storage, option to play with a normal controller

    360: Simpler UI, free online

    PS3: Better online service

    Thoughts?

There already is an option to play with a normal controller, the Classic (Pro), or even the Gamecube one.

Play games that require the normal Wii controller though, like the upcoming Skyward Sword ;)

I think you mixed up the PS3 and the 360 up. That'd be great if the 360 online was free. ahhaaha

I forget how to read my bad.

The 360 will never offer free online service that's for sure.

    No, Xbox LIVE will never have free online;

PSN will never have as good/secure online as Xbox LIVE.

Well... for me it does. But I find that the XBLive is very much worth it in the end. I mean the one thing that irks me so bad is that the PS3 STILL to this day has no cross-game chatting or a party system like the 360. Is it because they don't know how? Is it because they are afraid of copying Microsoft? Because by all means they are not doing themselves any favours.

Edit: ANd if they are going to add it into PS+, why havnt they done so already, or anything like that. They PS+ would be a little more worth it. But then again you will also have people who are not going to invest in PS+, so I could have it and all my friends not want it at all, and I am still F*cked out of a party system/chat system during gaming. Bleh.

Meh, I guess, though I wouldn't consider the lack of a party system a notch in its favor.

Live is better, but nowhere near £40 a year better. Perhaps a one-off payment for joining would have been more appropriate.
