Wow, rank 14 as of this writing. Congratulations!! Stellar reviews too, 4/5 stars is hard to come by on the App Store.

May I ask, how has this impacted the sales of your other applications? When I discover an application I like, I almost always check out the other software listed on the App Store from the same developer.

Wow, it's #13 now! Whatever you do, Jason, DO NOT STOP THAT SALE! Theseus could become the next Blocked... It's #8 in games.

Theseus is totally addictive. I've been playing nonstop. What an original puzzle. And I love the mythology angle :)

    Congratulations on the well-deserved success!

Looks like it's stalling up against some of the heavier players. It's going to be hard to get past iGirl and Bejeweled..

It's had no effect on sales of other apps. It's possible that a few people look at the other apps, but I haven't seen a statistical difference. Which is a shame, because I think Light Jockey is worth the $1.

I actually see a lot of new users in my Light Jockey flurry account, but Apple reports only 5-10 sold so they must all be pirates

It's already begun its slide into obscurity. #21 right now, and it may even drop off the top-25 completely by the end of the night. Sales fell dramatically compared to last week...

I guess it just didn't have the staying power that Blocked did. One problem is that Theseus is just unfamiliar to the average user, and they are less likely to take a chance on it. Everyone knows what Blocked/Rush Hour is..

Could you tell if the ratio of those that downloaded the lite and full versions changed the past week? Would guess it would go down with more people not searching for that type of game checking it out for the first time.

not to be rude but i think i could write the history myself

    1. play mummy game 5-6 years ago
    2. run out of original ideas, decide to copy mummy game
    3. make an exact copy of it with different graphics
    4. become a success?

edit: this is the game i am referring to http://www.popcap.com/games/free/mummymaze i played it in elementary school iirc

  17. Covered this back in October 2008 here. In a nutshell Popcap copied the original and apologized.

Zen bound was boring for me, nothing really cool in that app, just too much hype

That's actually true, all the succesful games are just direct copies of other games, iShoot copies tanks, rolando copies loccorocco, theseus copies, well theseus
