Congrats to Jason, author of Theseus. His app is now #42 in the Top 100. He was previously one of the un-success stories in the App Store. Now he will be viewed with scorn and jealously by his fellow devs. App: Theseus I like to attribute his success to our feature of his app on the front page, though Apple's featuring of it probably didn't hurt either. (coincidence? I think not... ) arn
Way to go! Love the underdog stories! The iPhone market is defiantly a hard one, to say the least. More power to the indie Dev's!
Thanks all This has all been a bit sudden so I'm still collecting my thoughts. I plan on writing up a complete history of the Theseus app since its inception.. but I want to see how this ranking thing plays out first. I really appreciate this forum btw. All of the improvements to the game have been more or less a direct result of the feedback I've received here
Theseus is by far one of my favorite "Puzzle" games, mainly because it is a clean looking and fun game... Congrats to the Dev I hope it goes higher!
I bought it after I tried the free lite version. Great game! It's one of the three or four games I play regularly. I just wish I was better at it...
Congratulations Jason! Theseus is indeed an excellent game and should not be missed. Share and enjoy,
Congratulations on a great game. How will the sales for this week compare to the total since your game was released in September? Does 1 week in the top 100 = more than 5 months?
Quote: "Originally Posted by jasonf In the US store, approx 2000 copies so far today (by 8:30pm pacific) " Jason make that 2001, Great game Thanks!
Well, Theseus had been out for awhile at $4 a pop. I sold about 2000 copies at this price (estimate) from October '08 to March '09. So yes, about 1 week in the top 100 at $1 is about equal to the entire previous sales history. Attached is a visual aid
Congrats Jason. I'm still learning the iPhone coding ropes and hope to have my first utility out shortly but reading about your success is definitely inspirational.
