Conflict in Libya

?

Do you think USA, UK and France should've attacked Gaddafi's ground forces

  1. Yes, western forces should aid the rebels by preventing Gaddafi from bombing rebels and civillians.

  2. No, it's none of our business. We shouldn't get involved in foreign conflicts.

It is too complecated!! We civilians have no say in this, right or wrong, whether or not...what if we vote for yes?what if we vote for no?There are many reasons to be taken into account in this case. The current actions are caused by history reasons, political reasons, current inerest, and more....

Yes, they were right to intervene and I'm glad it's NATO and not just the US Also I am pleased they didn't limit it to a no fly zone and have decided to take all nessesary precautions to protect civilians (If Gaddafi isn't overthrown then I predict mass executions).
Btw: did anyone else here his rambling speech. seemed very delusional to me (planning to arm the population against the rest of the world when they're in the middle of attempting to overthrow him! I think the rest of the world understands the situation far better than he does)

Yeah I've heard some of his speeches. He sounds almost as crazy and as delusional as Hitler when he was calling the western forces "terrorists". Targeting Gaddafi himself (with coalition missile strikes) has been discussed as a possibility. Although I'm not sure if it's the best idea, the rebels probably want him alive ;)

This has been around for a while, but since we're moving onto the Gadaffi-is-crazy subject:

Sorry brah, but that is a load of bullshit if you ask me. Just because my country does something, or supports something, doesn't mean in anyway shape or form that I am obligated to support it without question.

I had to deal with talk about this subject all weekend, with stern Republicans I might add. And I have found something, reviewing a lot of tweets and FaceBook posts on the subject. No matter what Obama does, he will be scrutinized for it. People on the right scream that "He doesn't do enough"... and when he finally does something (and rightfully so I may add, I would have voted yes on the subject) what happens? He get's backlash. It's a never ending cycle with people and President Obama. I honestly feel sorry for the guy. He has made some shitty decisions, and some decent decisions in his office. I am not fully supporting every one of his actions. I do, in all honesty, want him out of office, but it's not because of his skin color, or it's not because I don't like him at all. It's simply because no one wants to work with him. Nothing is getting solved. He has good intentions for the most part, but once again. No one will work with him at all.

Yes, this post does have liberal bias. Sue me.

Haha, he does wear some ridiculous outfits.

This article goes through his life and and some of his quirks http://str8talkchronicle.com/?p=12874

The quote from the former CIA officer sums him up pretty well:

“I walked away from the meeting thinking, if this guy had been born in any other country, he would be in a mental institution or heavily medicated,” the former staffer said. “It was sort of a cross between Michael Jackson, with the paranoia and cult of personality.”

There are actually a few more places involved with the no-fly zone than I thought. It seems the list is actually US, UK, France, Canada, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, Spain and Qatar. If you ask me this significantly lessens the likelihood this is all done in the name of oil.
