Hi, My name is John Yau. I am a freelance artist with good experience in producing concept art for many clients from the indie games industry. Please take a look at my portfolio and contact me if you are interested. [Portfolio]: http://www.johnyaudesign.com/ Email: [email protected] Here is a small selection of work I have done. Thank you for your time!
I can wholeheartedly recommend John. Never thought I could get concept art at the fair prices he makes. This is was John send me as "roughs": This is what a final sketch based on my feedback looks like: The money we spent on these is already saved by omitting at least one step in the modeling process. btw. Did I mention turnaround times of 24hrs?
That's pretty presumptuous of you to assume he's new. Also, that's not a "Pro Tip". The only thing that you posting his art here proves is that YOU have used his art without permission. As someone who frequently looks for new artists, I really hate seeing excessively watermarked images. If you want me to hire you, I want to see real, unsullied examples of what your work looks like. I think John's portfolio page is just fine. No need to change anything. And PixelPower, if you're worried about people ripping off art, what about all the art in ACTUAL GAMES? Those files are trivial to rip off. Entire games have been released in the app store with 100% copied art. Should the developers have put big ugly watermarks on all their in-game assets to prevent that?
