Computer crashed. I authorized my other computer for itunes. None of my apps/games showed up, and I've got at least 50. Are they gone for good? There is a possibility that the hard drive with my itunes on it is still okay. Are the games still on there? If so, which folder? Can I copy this folder to my other computer and get all my apps back in itunes? What happens if I connect my itouch to an itunes that doesn't have the games? Will all the games I currently have on the itouch disappear? I contacted apple about this and my impression is that they MIGHT let me download all my apps again, but they will only do it for you one time. Another somewhat related question: I retrieved my music folder from crashed computer and copying it OVER my backup folder on the other computer. If the original folder is 300 gigs, and the back up folder is the same size, and the drive has 8 gigs of space, why does the copying process stop ten minutes in, due to no more space? I thought that copying replaces the file, folder by folder, so that extra space is not needed. It seems like its making a full copy of itself first. This would mean I'd need a 600 gig drive to copy over a 300 gig file? Should I just delete the back up 'music' folder first, then copy the original one in?
Sorry I didn't have the attention span to read through all that..I'm tired But any app you purchase is recorded onto your account, so its simply a matter of remembering which apps you bought and re-dling them. [You'll click buy, enter your pass, and it'll say you've already purchased it so press ok to dl for free] If you can't remember what apps you lost: Store>View my account>Purchase history. Btw that sucks about your computer.
