    Damn!!
That was a fast update and with tons of new features. Downloading it right now. Time to give Commander Pixman some love from my 4S. ;)

Found a key in level 13, but I'm not really sure what it does. Anyone know?

Also, I figured out that you can fire more quickly than simply holding down the button, which helps improve my times. I'd still love to see an initial paused state until you touch the first button.

@nafkert: Levels could starts paused since version 1.1.0 ;) But it is disabled by default. You can enable this behavior in your device Preferences App!

As you say - this makes game a little easier, so this is not for hardcore gamers. Also it should be enabled by default on older devices, they don't load levels very fast ;) Is it? Anyone could check it? It works on my 2nd gen. iPod touch and should on any device before iPhone 3GS/iPod touch 3gen...

I've seen some glitches since the update, so some bugfix will be submitted soon :) Maybe it is worth to enable "starting pause" by default ?

Fantastic! I've enabled it. Much, much better. I was finding myself dying over and over again just due to disorientation at the start of a level. This is much better, and had led to much more motivation to play. Thanks for the response!

Really fun levels, and I'm loving the jetpack mechanic as well. Very different.

So, what is the key on level 13 for?

So nice to hear that. I think this option will be enabled by default in future versions. What do you people think ?

About key on level 13 - play some missions and you will know it ;)

It appears that there is a Gamecenter bug. Apparently, there are 20 achievements to earn, but Gamecenter only displays 1 achievement, which is to reach level 20. I checked this out on iOS 5 and iOS 4 firmware. Great game, but please fix achievements. :)

IMO you should definitely do that. I don't think many people even think to look at the settings app for games.

Achievements are just fine :) Next will appear when you unlock the first one ( pass first mission ), and so on

Achievements are connected with in-game missions, which are unlocked one-by-one, showing all achievements ( and therefore - missions ), could break the fun from discovering next missions :)

    @lena
    Hmm, so I'll do that!

From other news: Update 1.2.0 is now in preparations ;) I think I've improved collisions A LOT, so less frustration from death from "air". There will be other bugfixes too ( including Game Center logging, for now GC log every 'activate' the game, which could be frustrating ( and slowing game for a while ) ) as well as about 10-20 new levels.

Small update was submitted for "Commander Pixman: First Blood" 'lite' version, fixing some "day one" issues.

    Hello guys.

I've experimented with better collision detection system. Results are quite promising and I think next update will include this.

I know that game is pretty "hard", so better collisions means less frustration, where we fail 100th time just before level end, killed by hit from "air" ;)

    How it works:

Any chance of iCade support ?

Yeah, I'm thinking about that! But iPad support first ( since iCade is for iPad, right? ) I think iCade/iControlPad support should come with iPad support.

But honestly - I don't know when, Pixman sells quite poor right now, a 5-8 copies daily - so no iPad for me soon ;) Maybe on Christmas. But it is sure that iPad support will come eventually!

Wow, that's a little depressing man. It's such a fun and challenging game.

Yeah, unfortunately. I think game is simply "visually" not appealing to everybody, it is "too retro" for most people ;) So game doesn't "hold" on ranks for long.

Fortunately "New&Noteworthy" period helps, and in overall it is not so bad ;) Commander Pixman 2 will have more appealing gfx and far more features so we will see :)

Depressing to hear, i mean retro graphics are great, but either way its all about gameplay. Graphics dont have to be stunning, otherwise we would all be playing on our X-Box 360 instead of iOS games

Commander Pixman is an excellent platform game, a ton of fun and is really cheap. Shame some people are missing out

    Hi,

This is directed to the developer.

I bought this when you had the last sale, thought it was a cute game.

Now, after the last update, the game opens to the splash screen for a few seconds and closes.

Kind of would like to play the game but cannot and would like to know if this is a known issue and if there is a fix coming?

I wonder because I had been following the thread since the update for information before posting and there has been no mention of others having this issue.

Well, not good to hear that at all! PM send.

I can't reproduce this issue on my devices, if someone have similar problem, please send me a private-message!

    psj3809
Well, gameplay is important, but most iPhone gamers ( maybe this will be surprise for you ) are women over 30 ;) So I can't expect that most of girls remember/like sooo retro times and such hardcore gameplay :) I think this is the main reason of "not holding" rank positions.

Have you tried 'rebooting' your device ? That happened to me quite a few times with new games (or updates), when i reset my device and started it up again the games were fine

I've also told Harpgliss to try rebooting, hope that will help, since really I don't see any issues here :)

    Gabrien
Well, to be honest I can't provide you any links other than those you can find in Google, but it is "known" ;)

To be exact - we are not talking about 80%, or even 70%, but more like 55%-60% of mobile gamers. You think that is coincident that 'cute little' games like "Angry Birds" or "Tiny Wings" are so great hits ? "Hardcore" games like Infinity Blade, or Real Racing, are hits of course - but never even close to rank that those casual hits hold for months/years.

Of course I like Tiny Wings too ;)

    Hi,

Just to fill in more of my issue, yes I did restart my device and also reinstalled the game.

Have had an idevice for almost three years so definitely not a noob and would not post before making sure I had exhausted all options on my end.

To the developer, I did respond to your pm with device details.

Thanks for the reply and I hope to be able to play this soon.

    David
