What Device would we have then? let's see: there's a new iPod touch every year. the 1'st came in 2007. 3023 - 2007 = 1016 So, we'd be using the NEW iPod touch 1016G!
Sigh no more point in speculating. But pretty bad for a big company like EA to announce the release date then change it without notification?
Look at Need For Speed Undercover. It was announced for release last year around this time. Then it was delayed for 6 months? Or something like that. This probably won't happen again but who knows. They had a playable demo back then too.
I vaguely remember Touch Arcade annoucing that the game was delayed? Did that happen long past the first expected release date?
I don't think that ever happened. Undercover was scheduled to release in Fall of 2008, also demoed at Apple's iPod event. Then .... Fall went by, Winter went by, Spring went by... and finally released in May 6th 2009. No announcements and no comments were made about the delay.
I am ready to spend my $ for thos game and all it's dlc! I hope ea can tell us how long is it going to be delayed so that i can spend my money elsewhere
I don't think so... it will be nice for those who own an iPhone, but the hardcore fans will keep with the computer version which is inevitably far deeper.
You can't put your pc in your pocket right? We'll we have different opinions tim but to an rts fan looking for a handheld this could be the game that sway them into buying an idevice over let's say the psp or ds!
Uh... no. The PSP and DS have far deeper games for the hardcore crowd that RTS games appeal to. That is why we have not seen many RTS games for the iPhone. I have played this version of C&C and it is very casual. There is no multiplayer, 2 skirmish maps, and 10 missions spread over 2 campaigns. Apparently there will be DLC also. Its beautifully made, don't get me wrong, but this is not for the hardcores.
i don't remember any true RTS for the PSP and if for the DS there are about three including Robocalypse and Lego battles, nothing that get's close to what Red Alert is! And if I read the pocket gamer and IGN preview correctly AI is pretty much impressive here! Tim, I already got a dozen of people I compete with over Battle.net really excited about this game so I'm speaking based on what I am experiencing, I'm not pretending to be some expert analyst!
Where did I say the DS and PSP have "true" RTS titles (which, in reality, they DO have as you have said in that contradicting statement of yours)? Also, where did I complain about the AI? I said it is beautifully made... Thats great you have got your friends excited, but it is kind of ironic that you play online RTS games with them yet Red Alert has no multiplayer to be found. I am not trying to be "some expect analyst". I have personally played through the entire game and can say that there isn't enough content here nor depth to satisfy hardcore fans. But, casual RTS players will likely love it.
