    Out Now!

Brought to you by Ponywolf, the studio behind the Apple Game of the Day, Knights of the Card Table. RogueJack is a blend of old school dungeoning that utilizes Blackjack (a.k.a 21) as its battle system. This game is easy to learn, hard to master and provides countless hours of old school dungeoning in your pocket. Free with advertising *only* on a revive/continue and $1.99 to buy out.

    Downloads:
You can pre-order (for free) on iOS

Explore endless dungeons, discover monsters and beat them all in a game of 21. Collect weapons, defenses and the carcasses of your enemies while playing a fresh and interesting take on BlackJack. Each monster in the dungeon has its own play style, when they hit, when they stop and if they keep their hole card hidden. Also, rogues will discover endless combinations of items, buffs, skills and attributes that will play out in unique and interesting ways.

Thanks! I was a little worried that the crossover between "casino-like" and "rogue-like" might be too small. I'm enjoying it, so that's something :)

Man, never a crossover too small! I’m working on a game that could be considered a cross of pong and an action RPG.

if you have to stop and ask yourself : is this too niche? you’re probably well on your way to something great!

I firmly believe that crossovers of these genres work quite well. Just look at the the Game Stew games: all kind of casino games mixed with RPG and it works like a charm!
I would gladly participate in the beta or just wait for A WHOLE MONTH to actually play it :)

Thanks for all the positive replies! I'm just working through a "restore purchases" issue today, then Apple approval, then I'll get some beta keys out to people on this thread.

I’m not the biggest fan of Blackjack, but I assume the crossover with Poker would be too complicated so I’ll deal with it. Also, setting a release date on Valentine’s Day is such a romantic gesture. You just got me there.:D

If this game gets some traction, I want to do some fresh takes on Poker. Maybe even Pai Gow...

It's hard to see at first blush, but as you level up you'll get more than one card to choose from when you "hit" and those cards can be face up or face down. Once you level up to 10+ you are playing BlackJack, but you are picking from the next 3 cards, most of which would be face up. I do worry, that the first few floors you play could frustrate players as it's just plain BlackJack--but once you kill 4 or 5 enemies, you start getting the "flipped up" card bonus and your victory rate goes way up.

It's funny, we released our last game on Valentines day as well. It just worked :) We also got our Game of the Day feature on Mother's Day--it must be destiny.

wow pal, this game is really fantastic, and very ingenious, love the combination of styles.

thanks a lot also for the art and music, they take me back in time to those glorious days of 8bit devices!

When you find a piece of equipment, there needs to be a way to compare it to your current equipment before deciding whether or not to switch.

That’s a good idea. Should be pretty easy to have a button that flips back and forth from what you have. Thanks.

Really love this. Excited to see you’re still considering a poker element, that would really be great!
Also looking forward to the swipe option. great game!
