Here: But I'll have to check how many stories are in. But there are 5.500 pages of Lovecraft's writings. In the collection you mentioned, there are some unfinished stories / only outlined stories and other things. I have a rare book from Lovecraft, where a lot of his unfinished stories, collected letters and poems are published. Some of the stuff you mentioned is in this book, too. And to calm you down: the is a KINDLE app for the iPhone / iPod touch... you can read all Kindle publishings on your iDevice. So, don'tcha dare challenging the biggest German HLP fan evarrrrr....
OOPS, did see that post before, sorry I never cared to the iBook store before. So Vol. 1 has 42 stories and Vol. has 34 stories a total of 76 Stories. Not bad. And for something like $1,50 def. A STEAL! Also the iBook version has the benefit of being searchable. This is nice while I don´t have may my UK Penguin Press Hardcopy Ed. vol. 1 to 3. with me.
Well, there are a lot treasures in the iBook store, books you won't find in iTunes or normal AppStore. iBook store is somehow seperated. There are a giant bunch of free books, too... a lot from Guttenberg press etc. If you're a reader, definately check out the free books section. There are huge loads of stuff. Btw., the KINDLE app is free and the 101 stories collection costs only a few bucks... 3,99$, to be more specific. And yes, 76 stories and poems for 1,50$ is a bargain also.
I got some tremendous literature treasures from Gutenberg project/press. Another problem with kindle and that specific HPL edition seems to be it´s not available outside of the US.
Yepp, due to copyright restrictions. But... like in iTunes, you just need a fake US adress and a valid payment method for the US - because you'll receive the file on the digital way. Or an US resident who "gifts" you a Voucher.
"The same procedure as last year, Miss Sophie?" "The same procedure as every year, James." Right. And now Apple, release the game.
What the firk ding blast is Apple doing? Re-submitted apps go through the approval process a lot faster - normally. Oh, btw.:
Maybe they are just becoming masters at the game before unleashing it on the public! Oh well, maybe today will be the day I get this.
Well according to yahoo answers... 'Fu-nug-loo-ee mug-ul-wun-ah-fuh Cu-thoo-loo Rye-leh wuh-gah-ah-gul fuh-ta-gun' Sauce:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090329041155AAxp2g9
Ack... does the words "rhetorical question" mean anything to you? But, well... it really sounds like Welsh. The languages the Old Ones speak are far too complex for us tiny, unworthy and unaware humans. According to Lovecraft, the sounds of their voices are so alien - we would never develop the ability to speak like them. We can only try to mimic it - and this only poorly.
funny, to me it sounds like japanese, because they always need a consonant/vowel combo. But the OLD LANGUAGE was spoken before vowel where invented, so I rather doubt that pronounciation would provoke anything. Maybe throwing in a good portion of Arabic would do the trick.
Language is difficult - but we never were supposed to speak it. Well, I remember myself trying to conjure up the old city of R'lyeh one day, but summoned a bloody relay instead.
