*Pops up* Uhhh... Did someone just say "tits"? Well, don't let Steve Jobs see this - I'm sure he turns all lights off when having sex - so he haven't to see the naughty bits... Hey Slava, thanks for all the informations about the game - but now I am even more excited. I just hope that Dustin doesn't feed you to the Shoggoths because of the fact that you're spreading secrets to millions of readers...
An epic game of role-playing and card battles inside the lovecraftian universe! suspense! horror! intrigue! tits! Wait.....did you just mention Steve Jobs' sex life on touch arcade?
Yes. But I doubt that he has one. So, we're talking about nothing. BTW., Dustin - if you're willing to give out promo codes here, don't just post them. Try making a contest or whatever...
Nonsense! Everything related to porn is practically non-existent for SJ. And do you really think that SJ reads on TA? But... we never know.
Sounds great...as a Lovecraft fan I am getting really excited for this even though I've never played a trading card game before.
No no nonono! Even better: you'll get the complete collection of Lovecraft in the iBook Store (accessible through the free iBook app), "The Complete Lovecraft" volume 1 and 2 for each 0.49 / 0.59$ only with much more stuff, including some of his outstanding poetry!!
Invocation to the Old Ones We're coming up on Halloween weekend, almost a week to date since the game was submitted to Apple for review, so this morning I thought I would make an invocation in honor of the Old Ones to curry their favor and hopefully speed along the process! The song is performed by The Winners and is off the soundtrack of the movie "Suck", which has got to be the coolest rock-and-roll Vampire road trip movie ever made! Ia! Ia!
Also, if you're into horror movies, there's a lot of good adaptions based on Lovecraft's stories: REANIMATOR FROM BEYOND DAGON IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS THE RESSURECTED THE UNNAMABLE THE CALL OF CTHULHU DREAMS IN THE WITCH HOUSE (definately not for children or the squeamish though..)
Hi Vovin, hmmm...hard to pick a favorite, but I really like some of his short fiction like From Beyond, The Hound, and the Nameless City - all stories which gave birth to the whole Cthulhu Mythos, and went on to characterize he would eventually become famous for.
Mine is definately "At The Mountains Of Madness". It's so impressive how HPL changed the flow and mood of the story from the scientific view to the ultimate horror.
What's the movie that's based on The Call of Cthulhu? That's not the film's title, is it? I love the Reanimator movies. Especially part one starring John Kerry. Edit: nvm, found the answer to my own question; it is indeed called "The Call of Cthulhu." There is a good list of films based on H.P.'s works here for anyone else interested. I really liked "In the Mouth of Madness" as well.
Btw., Dustin, you should tell Goomi that the link on his homepage directing to you game's page isn't working anymore... He'll need to fix it.
hi, 3 days to release, huh ? : ) I believe I'll have worse death, then Lovecraft if I missed something in settings etc when was compiling the build before submitting, so if you will feel that you can't wait "when when" - you should imagine how I am waiting and worrying : )
yes must be pretty hard to find some sleep until then without heavy doses of valium until its final release.
Anybody ever see Dagon? It's one of my favorite movies based off of an HPL story. It directed by Stuart Gordon, the same guy that did Reanimator. Kind of has an Evil Dead vibe, but with fish people. I think it's based off of The Shadow Over Innsmouth.
