Nice, sounds like things are really coming along, I can only see this getting better and better as we go on.
Still have not found anyone to do the $40 packadge trade with. If you enjoying the game and want to buy to coin packadge give me a shout since I want to get the $40. Sinply put it will double our coins. Just saying. On a side note finding the trippler really worth it. Rubicone has done a nice job, but if I may suggest, this is a collectable game would be nice to have a nicer cleaner more refined way to view your cards, especially the monsters. Think display more like RR3 car showcase. Just seems a shame not being able to pan around zoom in.
This happened to me after the 7.0.3 update on any in-app purchase (or magazine subscription, same thing) I tried. My iPad isn't jailbroken. Solution was to reset my iTunes Store login in the options, reboot the device, then replace the login. Might reboot one more time for good measure. I had to play with that order for a bit before it quit glitching. Other FAQs online suggest resetting your settings and restoring from iCloud, but this less invasive flow worked for me. It's really not a game-specific thing, and Rubicon isn't being disingenuous. If you're only seeing it in one game, there must be information cached somewhere that's getting around it in older games you have. I bet if you download some other game and try to buy an IAP (or restore purchases--also broke for me, and can test that without spending anything) it'll happen there.
On a completely different note, I'm a ways into the easy campaign, and I really like the game. I didn't get very into GLWG/GBWG (no fault of Rubicon's, was just a little ODed on Advance Wars-inspired stuff at the time) but have found this to be very accessible. It's kind of like a simplified Summoner Wars. That's not a bad place to be. I do look forward to trading. Trying to build out a crafted deck without that is borderline abusive to the wallet.
Tripler based on iOS device, or account? Question for players / Rubicon: I was wondering if there's a way to start over with the tripler in effect? I bought the tripler at the end of the HARD single player. Now that I've got it, I realize it would have made a significant difference in my coin / card buildup. Q1 --> (restated) Can I make a new account and re-authorize tripler purchase, or will that charge me again? I notice there is no "restore purchase" button in the game. Q2 --> any plans to speed up the game play? Bypass animation, speedup animation, or get rid of ending dance? Q3 --> is there a way for players who quit in multiplayer b/c they're losing to have it recorded as a loss? Selecting "quit" should be a loss, getting 'timed out' by network problems could be flagged as something different. Q4 --> what's a "posse point" and can I use those for anything? I get those when I win in Multiplayer (in the rare instance where my opponent doesn't quit before losing). It seems those are different from "Facebook Posse" points, and they don't seem to give me more coins...? THANKS!!
I have to admit the tripler thing was one of the reasons I jumped into quick battle instead of tutorial when I was trying out Combat Monsters...
Admittedly I have a lot to learn about these types of games as my experience is somewhat limited. I've decided to stick it out and bought the tripler as well as a medium chest to fill out my deck a bit more. I've finished the easy quests without much trouble and have started to develop a strategy that seems to be working for me. I've got a 45 card deck with a heavy balance of 4 power monsters that I can easily play with the Doc Pain Boss. I've also got several armors and weapons in the deck and I'm finding that if I can get even one Minator or high powered monster decked out with armor and weapons I can use it effectively to help me protect some other monsters. Spawning monster after monster only to have the AI step up and wipe it out immediately gets frustrating. Sometimes I need to take a defensive start so I can get a monster buffed. Is this a strategy you guys find useful? Any others worth trying?
I have some tips posted on Rubicon's forums: Deck Building Tips: http://www.rubicondev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=1759 Tips for Beating the AI: http://www.rubicondev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=1819 Hope they help.
I beat hard campaign nearly all with Sylvanus archer Here is the deck i did it with: http://www.rubicondev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=1870&p=10326&hilit=Chaosprodigy#p10326
How new are you to CCGs? Bigger is always worse unless there's a major breakage in the game balance. You always want your deck as absolutely small as possible for its strategy to work.
That's really good news. I have played around 550 games so far and won over 440 of them. Bring some challenges!
Ok, so I've made it painfully obvious I've a lot to learn about these games but I was cruising along in the Single player Medium Quests winning the first 9 battles without much trouble but then I hit the Lavalem battle on the lower path and I'm getting absolutely crushed. I've bought the tripler so I have also purchased one medium chest and two of the deal of the days. Other than that I'm using the default Doc Pain and cards I picked up in the Easy Quests so far. This particular battle seems way out of balance with the others I faced in Medium up to this point. The map is the one with the choke point in the middle so you can only get through one warrior at a time. And all the powerups are on the opposite side. Right off the bat you are disadvantaged big time. I've tried a couple strategies so far: 1) bum rush to get over there quick before he powers up. No good as I can't do it quick enough. Plus he has the Power tile over there which makes quick work of my guys. 2) Lay back and build an army before rushing. Still no good as he has a ridiculous number of archers that pick me off from the middle. 3) Lay back and defend and try to pick him off as he passes through the choke point. Still no good as his archers prevent me from getting close enough to do any damage. He has a lot of Uncommon and Rare weapon and armor buffs and a couple mages that can buff other guys with regen. If I try to wait and build an army his army is way more powerful very quickly and I just can't get close to him. On top of that he has a much larger deck (nearly 60 to my 45) so his army and buffs never end. I am getting really frustrated as it seems I would need a lot more Rare cards to even stand a chance and there are no other cards available in this quest and it could take me days to collect them from the deal of the days. And I really don't want to spend a lot of money on coins at this stage. Any advice on this one? What kind of deck should I try to build?
Have you considered that some maps are better suited for an Archer hero? That said there is a few hard maps that are better suited for a Warrior hero. Try the above and let us know. That said you cant expect to beat every level with starter monsters... you might want to play some more pvp/watch a few free videos for coins and get a few more cards before attempting a hard level. I think some hard levels took me more than 10 tries so do not feel bad about a small bump in the road. I personally beat hard campaign nearly all with Sylvanus archer Here is approximately the deck i did it with:http://www.rubicondev.com/forum/view...prodigy#p10326 I did swap some cards here and there depending on level/opponent card deck. Some maps it is good to use Virus/Ying Yang rune and build your deck towards that.
Just bumped into Chaos Prodigy in multiplayer. Good game! For one brief moment I thought I might've had a chance!! Maybe next time.
I don't have the money for a new hero so I was hoping I could at least get through the Medium Quests with the default guy. I've generally found that I use the opposite army for the hero I'm facing. If it's a warrior hero I use a lot of ranged attackers. If it's an archer I use a lot of Warriors. In this case the hero is warrior but his deck is heavy on archers so I can't even get my army near his hero.
U could always play defensive and have more cards in your deck. Put alot of ranged firepower on choke point and wait it out for AI to run out of cards. Thry start to lose exponentially more HP every time they draw phase comes and they got 0 cards - it is called Armageddon. Good luck Paulos G, gg
Did you check my tip threads? There is probably something that can give you a new idea, like using magic shield, gearing a werewolf archer (gain +3 with every kill) or whatnot. Deck Building Tips: http://www.rubicondev.com/forum/view...hp?f=30&t=1759 Tips for Beating the AI: http://www.rubicondev.com/forum/view...hp?f=30&t=1819 Hope they help. But even if they dont, sooner or later the AI will do something really stupid and you'll get past it and cruise.
Art, I've read your guides several times and credit them for getting me this far into the game. At this point I'm stuck on both paths in the Medium Quests and do not see that I will be able to pass them with my current deck. I've tried the patient approach many times with different deck builds and I just can't keep away long enough to get ahead. His deck is stacked with archers that do 4 damage, lizards that put regen on other monsters and several heroic shields and emperors helmets that quickly make him not only deadly but untouchable. The most success I've had is to rush him but that seems to end badly too. My measly deck with just a couple butcher knives, tinfoil armors and one rare bow just don't give me enough protection to stand clear long enough. I'm clearly at a point where I need better cards and while I have enough coins to buy another medium chest I was hoping to save up for a large one. I think I'm facing a paywall where I'd need to buy a large chest with real money. I hate to admit that I'm pretty bummed about it as I wanted to get a little farther with just the tripler. I don't want to pay more money only to find it doesn't help me proceed.
