If you want to join our facebook group, we have plenty of people that dont quit and a dedicated chat. PM me your facebook name and enough info to figure out which John Smith you are. (Email address works best if the name is that common.) Most of them were beta testers or made IAP though (i.e. quality decks).
Oh! I just thought it was always connected, it does seem to drain my battery more than usual though? Well at least I can play on a different device while I charge the other one lol
Purchased some gold, mixed up my deck and did an epic battle! Check out #10470! PS:I noticed that there are many player who quit on the first turn. Are they operating two accounts simultaneously for gold? It's really annoying that we'll have to wait for 90 seconds hanging there!
I tried four games online and everyone quit on me so I went back to the single player. Not sure why but why start an online game then quit?
Spoiler You can gain gold by letting the other account quit, not on the first turn of course. I tried a little and found if the timing is right the two accounts have good chance of meeting. I don't mind other people getting the same as I paid for in this way. But they could at least have the decency of quitting not by shutting the game down. Normally when you quit, the opponent will be notified. But if you shut down the game, he will have to wait for 90 seconds and sometimes even a defeat for not responding for 120 secs!
Wow! I'm enjoying this a lot more than GBWG! It's too bad it's freemium, but at least it's executed excellently. I give you props Rubicon (;

We will be making a server-side fix early next week to help with this. Basic match-making for now so newbies can go have a try out whilst more established players can get a full proper game. Longer term we'll be doing free to enter leagues a bit like Starfcraft 2 too. In fact a lot like Starcraft 2 as I think they did it very well. Anyone want to throw their 2c in on this are welcome to discuss it in more depth on our forum which is getting quite busy now. www.rubicondev.com/forum
@Birth, I don't think your "cheat" idea is it either tbh. Now we have a lot of players, it will be very time consuming to try and acquire gold without playing like that. Far faster and easier to watch the paid adverts in "free coins". Or just keep clicking on them whilst watching TV for that matter. And if they're doing it to "stick it to the man", I might point out that whilst you get 50 coins for each ad viewed, we get paid a whopping $0.01 for each one. That level of return feels like we're being truly stuck to. lol
Ok, mate. I wish you fifty million ad views, then. Should be enough for a small house, a small yacht and a small car, you know? Man, that monologue was legend.
It's average. Pros: The card system, equip system and model summoning system is pretty neat. It's fairly unique and the hex grid turn system works well. There's a tonne of various cards and abilities and creature type abilities to keep things fresh. Meh: graphics are pretty basic and the card abilities are either too expensive or not worth losing the attack. Cards are generally too expensive to cast, should generally be 1 Point less across the board. Would speed up the game and make it more exciting. Most games are summon a creature kill their creature. They summon a creature and kill yours. Until someone either gets a better card or runs out of cards worth using. Bad: multiplayer is pretty unplayable. I've played about 30 games online and roughly 20 have been me staring at the screen while the opponent stands there and times out. 8 have been new people who hardly know what they're doing and quit before the game ends. I've had 2 games from start to end that I actually earned anything on. Not worth my time. Coins are earned pretty slow, even with the tripler. I'm halfway through the hard missions and I've purchased 2 of the 4000 coin chests. The legendarys have been crappy in each and largely not worth the grind. I've hit a roadblock on hard where the opponent can cast archers on attack blocks and decimate my guys as they march up the board. Gun line paywall. For a campaign you should at least be given cards along the way to help with progress instead of overcosted commons. Conclusion: it's average. It feels like MTG + a board game but with IAP and a paywall. Card costs should be reduced across the board. Multiplayer needs a fix. There needs to be a matching system based on rankings and then availability - quiting or stalling out should penalize you and reward your opponent. Coins should probably be given out at the rate that the tripler gives em out at and then the tripler triples that... As is it's not worth purchasing the tripler as it's still much too slow. Legendaries should should actually be legendary instead of just double the power of a common at double the cost. I have yet to have been rewarded with a legendary that's worth decking as having to find 6+ mojo plus a turn casting hardly makes em worth it. Would have loved to see this as a premium game with an actual decent rate of coin return. A trade system would be nice too.
Ah, that explains why we can watch close to twenty of them a day, then. So after about two weeks worth of ad-o-rama, I'll have given you enough revenue to pay for ... a cup of coffee. Sheesh.
@Crimmzen. If we made lengendaries uber awesome gamewinners we'd then be labelled as P2W so you can't have it both ways. We try to make the legendaries have good fun abilities, but the main good thing about them is that they are cheaper to cast than similar monsters of less rarity. So they're worth having but they won't make a badly skilled player win games with his wallet. If you are a new player, you should be buying the smaller two chests, they get you far more variety and you can get far more cards for your coins to thrash out more deck strategies. Thanks for your other constructive criticisms. You'll see from previous posts that most of what you want is already in the pipeline - we do listen.
@chaosprodigy, seriously mate, what's with the continuous posting with the ref code. It's getting a bit much, isn't everyone trading like for like referrals for a mutual bonus anyway now?
Guess who's going to die (see screen shot) I'm loving the different tactics you can use, so far I've got a few decks set up, -warriors -archers -mages -orks (my fav deck) -and a test deck which I keep changing and having a mix of everything, sometimes I just put every card in there and see what comes out. The three other decks warriors,archers,mages all have the weapons to match, armour and runes and then all of that monster type from any race as long as it matches the title. Out of all of them it's the Orks I'm loving the most, not sure if its because of the +1 attack for every other ork or it's my 40k nostalgia but I love the orks.
