- November How did you beat the last boss? I'm playing the barbarian - and i suppose i can backtrack to buy more potent healing potion, but backtracking is very tedious at this stage. So strange, I found the game to be extremely easy, but the last boss extremely difficult.
I've been using the Warrior Emblems to bring in "fill-in" characters when the story ends up taking away one of the named allies. All in all, though, I find that having real companions in the game -- rather than just mercenaries -- is the single biggest improvement in this sequel. I actually care what happens to my party members, and the game musters some fairly emotional moments when one of your allies sacrifices himself/herself for the greater cause. On the story itself, I think people overestimate the narratives of many of those console RPGs. So far I've encountered many memorable characters and situations. And even though the core story is familiar, the main character's motivation -- he's trying to impress a girl -- was refreshingly realistic. I wish there were more consequential choices in the game (even if they're pretend ones, like in Secret of Mana), but I'm about as engaged in this story as I've been on many other RPGs (and way more than with other KRPGs in the App Store). I am looking forward to Com2Us fixing that music/sound bug, though..
I'm thinking about getting this game, but alot of people are complaining about the graphics. Can someone post some screenshots so I can take a look. P.S. I really liked the Zenonia graphics, hope its similiar.
Inotia 3 SlideToPlay review http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/inotia-3-children-of-carnia-review review with score 2 (caution), sadly but expected.
Dude what game are u playing? The Awakening scrolls are really nice tbh. In Inotia 2 u had to use skillbooks which are really rare, or use warrior seals until u got yourself a legendary merc to have all skills. With theese awakening scrolls u can unlock all skills to any hero. And if youve found only 12 true the game u must have been unlucky. Claiming crafting sucks? wtf? I use crafting alot AND I find the right mats for it. The 12-slot bag was a really nice making as my inventory got completely full cause of all the mats I was saving. The crafting works as in inotia 2, u can turn leafs into piece of strength if u just have the right recepies. Same with piece of darkness to "mana crystal". A nice crafting, which I do over and over again is making Large mana/heal potion into Large Lifepotion. Saves u 1 quickslot for another skill. The monster has to much HP? Many players here claims the game was to easy, I almost agree with that. So saying they have to much hp is wrong, oh so wrong. To u who thinks it was to easy, try going into Magetower at lvl 70 fighting lvl82-85 mobs as I did and still doing (great exp) . So claiming crafting and awakening emblems are useless makes me wonder if you even understand this game or even played it. Also saying the activeskills are useless, eh? Please give me an example so I can prove u wrong. I agree with u about the warrior emblems tho, cant really understand what they are for. I did find something called "consecrated warrior emblem" that did increase the possibility to turn it into a legendary merc. U might be able to turn regular emblems into consecrated later.. who knows. Yeah and the ranger range sucks ass, totally agree. Im going to max out bullseye now to see how much range increase u get while sniping, see if it does any difference. Overall I think this game really rocks tho its not compareable with Inotia 2. Inotia 2 was alot better in many ways imo. But I think we should all wait for the update to come. Ive played this game enough to say there are items and mats coming that doesnt yet exist. You can see them being needed in some recepies but as im a lvl80 Ranger I can say for sure they dont exist yet. I can somewhat agree with the items, good drops are hard to get, ive changed almost all my gear from the storyline now as my lvl is far beyond it but I agree, its hard. Ive seen no epic items except from the epic dagger the rogue you get to your party for a short while has. Ive found maybe 8 yellow items, not to good either. I think there are alot of updates to come, and hopefully they make a really cool networkdungeon. Inotia 2: lvl 110 Ranger - Knight - Priest / lvl 110 Mage - Priest - Rouge Inotia 3: lvl 80 Ranger - Priest - Mage
Lamp from Carp Hermit-a little help, please Hi, The Carp Hermit is baking bread and I can't clear away the monsters before his health meter runs down. I really can't get past the first two waves of bad guys. I'm a level 40 Arc Mage and I've got Amalie (sp?) and Lydia with me. I have used the golem and Celestial Hammer to no avail. Can't move on til I get that lantern!! Any help??? also, on the previous scene, the screen dialogue said the Orc had joined my party but where is he? Can I exchange one of my characters?
I think this would work for you. Since you are a mage, you have AE spells. I would just AE mobs and kite(making them chase you) them around, and let your other toons take them down right. I had no difficulty pasting this quest with my barbarian
Its best to have a character(s) in your party that can cause aggro(Templar/Warrrior) with a skill so you can immediately go towards the monsters that spawn to use the skill and hope the other monsters take there attention to that character. It's best to block the hermit but it will still take damage. Iirc the priest can make aggro when she heals others but I wouldn't fully rely on it. Attack whoever is(if they are) attacking the hermit 1st and shield it the best you can. For the other party members, go to menu>party>find the character you dont want and relieve him/her from the party, then have the member you want join by touching there icon. Hope this helps...
Pocket Gamer get better score 6/10, but still unsatisfied http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/Various/Inotia+3%3A+Children+of+Carnia/review.asp?c=26487 "Inotia 3 generally feels halfhearted, as though it's going through the motions and not paying careful attention to detail. It appeals to old tastes, but won't satisfy the craving for something more polished and progressive."
Ok, thanks....what's an AE skill? Geez, I feel stoooopid, I've played dozens of these games. Also, to GodSon...thanks, I had never even looked at that bit in the Party screen. I took Lydia out and added Kuntu the Barbarian and still can't protect the carp. I guess I really would ask someone to explain exactly how to get past this bit with an Arc Mage, Priest and. Barbarian or maybe a Rogue.
AE or AOE is Area Effect or Area of Effect. Any skill that can hurt/help more than one person/enemy (i.e. healing/thunder/ice/etc...).
level 40 mage still stuck there, I beat the game (not sealed dungeons) at level 44 mage. like other said "You need a tank to block, a priest to heal and that's it!" For myself, - I got a tank is my summer Golem, so I try to max out Active skills "Summon Golem" & "Infuse Essence", Passive skills "Elemental Intensification" & ""Golem Master" and that's it. Cold Wave is useful for small potato but not bosses; but it is useful in your stuck area I think - My best team I like: i) Mage + Mage + Priest (2 Golem = 2 tanks = 5 active members) ii) Mage + Barbarian + Priest
Well, IAmLegend, the reason I am not very far along at level 40 is that I LIKE to grind. I spend ALOT of time going through areas over and over again to rack up EXP and $$$. Sometimes you just feel like beating things up, ya know? And GodSon, thanks for the explanation, guess I am going to go GRIND some more as I have no Skill points to spend. Do you have a preference for an AE skill to spend points on that will get me through this area? Like IAmLegend, I spent a lot of points on Summon Golem.
@Tuilelath I find that Cold wave is more effective because not only do you freeze mobs, but while frozen they are more vulnerable to critical attacks which is great for your team while attacking. Using Call Lightning as it isn't guaranteed that you'll stun them. That's just my opinion as I am pretty deep with my Arc Mage but my main character file is a Templar who I am am the furthest with(and very happy with the build). I also enjoy taking my time grinding for the same reasons. I also don't like missing anything as I go.
