I did similar. Bought rail gun and focused on building as many in a mission as I could. Dumped all unused colours at end of the snake
Can I just say the music is a hoot: part John Tesh pompous network news theme, part popcorn disaster movie...cheesy "breaking bulletin" xylophones like morse code press wires, ostentatious tom-tom rolls and everything X-D Da-da-duh dum du-d_oo_ooo_oo_ooh__! ...Da-da-da dum-PA-_B__U__M_!!! *ROFL*
Prestige 8, Survival 7 is still no more difficult than when it was back in Prestige 1. So no, Prestige doesn't affect difficulty.
Good idea on upgrading armor first. I just destroyed Continent #3 and chose the 50% Faster upgrade, but now I'm feeling like I should have taken the 10% Chance to reflect damage instead. -.-
I among those who forewent armor initially, did in fact choose Reflect Damage because I figured moving faster would make it harder to place cores accurately. Out of curiosity, this time I picked that and regret it :O)
So, just discovered that rail gun is awesome (especially 2 rail guns + rapid fire). Previously using that repair drone since I thought it would add to survivability, but I guess offense is the best defense here since big offense means you can go to the next phase faster. Currently using a combination of purple rail gun, the green saucer cannon, and the red shotgun =3
I'm not the greatest player, but I find it too hard to split the blues between buffed green and purple after a Prestige. I (reluctantly) usually relinquish green's Laser Cutter in favor of Proximity Repair (just 1st level—unless by mistake). Part of being a stinge- er thrifty player isn't just with real money, so I almost never add anything in space. Relying on a secondary color makes placement critical, and I really shot myself in the foot choosing Supercharger where it moves faster between districts .__. Sticking with it out of curiosity, though :O) see how things all shake out from it, different picks from my 1st runthrough. (answer: not so well!)
Looking for opinions on evolution 6- I like the idea of extra core shielding (all cores leveled up to 3) but then I also like the free powerup one, if that truly means each stage. What did y'all use?
I was planning on just deleting the app...because I never signed in with Halfbrick, I'm pretty sure it'll kill all my progress unless for some reason iCloud restores it, in which case I'll then turn off its Documents & Data in Settings, if it has that option, and retry. If HB won't let you once you sign in with them, then we see why they replaced Game Center: to take control away from us over how our history with the game affects our ability to enjoy it. Booo!
Nevermind I figured it out, you do need to sign out from the Halfbrick account. I already checked in iCloud, there is no data or anything saved to your phone or in iCloud.
I updated to iOS7 just for this Glad I did I've never been let down by a Halfbrick game Thus one may be their best one yet The only negative is that it has a TINY BIT of a freemium feel I don't think I'll have to spend more money, after purchasing the game... But the urge is definitely there
Invoke the settings menu from the arrow in the top-right corner, turn off voice (the "quote cloud" icon), and when you turn it back on, the anchor has a whole bunch of hilarious throw-away lines: "What's that? We're _live_?!", "How's my complexion?", close to a dozen! Can't miss!!!!! X-D I hope the actor enjoyed performing them ...Good ol' Halfbrick! Colossatron's load-out to blast the credits list to bits is I _think_ based on your last attack's bar graph for which units you used (could be wrong about that). I love creative flourishes like these!
Free Powerup is good if you're going to reroll the start of each stage and getting a Megabomb. But I almost always end up with a Megabomb in Survival and the only time Megabombs really, really matter in stages is if you end up with a base stage. The bigger part explosion is pretty useless. It doesn't really do that much damage as you'd expect. I even tried sticking a bunch of level 1 parts to the front of the snake to see if they actually helped. Useless. I just picked Microshields because it gave me extra time to attach a core right away. Especially in the later parts of stages/survival when L1 cores get almost instantly blown up, Microshields gives you more time to combine them into an L2.
Should this game be played on an ipad or a 5 inch android? I want to pick this game up, but dont know which version i should get.
Is there any reason iOS 7 ia required? What makes iOS 7 that special? What exclusive iOS 7 feature is used in this game that makes it impossible to support other iOS?
