Haha! They are all inspired by Wizardy, Dungeon Master (some would even argue Might and Magic) and Bard's Tale... Even that exception DS series!

Aaaahhhh that will teach me to pay attention to fair maidens, I teleported back and purchased a fishing rod and got 3 or 4 of the blighters. You don't just catch fish either! There is a bed a little further down you can rest and replenish mana

Stupid question, but I was wondering if you guys think I would enjoy a game like this. The closest thing I've played to something like this is The Quest... I've seen some pics and videos but still can't tell. Also, is the app good in its current state? Thanks.

I think it's safe to say that if you enjoyed The Quest, you'll like this. The two primary differences I can think of are: 1 - It's not open world like the Quest and 2 - You have a party and aren't just solo.

Aside from the minor annoyance of spam-tapping to pick things up, I say go for it. It's similar to The Quest with better graphics, and simpler in design than the party construction of Silversword. All 3 are great games. Hope that helps you make a decision.

Oh really? I got the feeling it wasn't much like the quest. I have an iPad now so I don't play it anymore so this might make a nice substitution that is still unique. Eh what the hell, I have $49 credit. Thanks for listing the differences!

Automap bug? - in section 2a when you enter the passage before the conduit that passage is just showing as an arrow with no walls on automap.

This App is disappointing - I'd go so far as to say The Quest is better. The graphic assets and the game engine are so good that I expected more, but was let down by poor combat mechanics and other "weirdness" such as party members "talking" when they're dead, and mana that doesn't refill. The party have almost nothing to start the dungeon with and can be defeated by a single oversized mouse! This is my disappointment of the week!

v1.1 was submitted last night with the new "One-Tap Pickup" option in the Game Status screen.

I'm going to start on v1.2 this weekend, reading through all the comments, tweaking, and maybe adding a couple of ideas (e.g. I'm going to see how enemy damage bars looks and feel).

I seem to be getting quite a few crashes on my ipad mini non retina, just a heads up. It's a good game but mans regen areas are few and far between.

Also this shows up with no walls even if you go back. Walls show up in this spot once you go through the conduit.

Also, would be nice to show walls on automap so one can see what open corridors haven't been searched. Of course I could get graph paper and draw too... :)

Already bought it. I was hoping for good combat :/
Well I loved the quest but there is no ipad support so I don't play it anymore.

What do you mean when you say there's "no walls" on the auto map?

He means it's only a square with no border lines. It shows the tile you have stepped on but you can't tell if, for example, there's a wall to the east or an open tile. Just like when you have to trace your own map with Etrian odyssey, except that you don't get to!

Okay... I agree the auto map is fairly simplistic. I'll give it some thought for improvement.

Hmm, I want to get this, but hold off for now..
I was hoping for a "The Quest" type game..
Seems like the engine is perfect for it..

Are you planning for Addons/Expansions for this?

Then I'll might re-consider buying this
