Perhaps I spoke too soon. Now I cannot get back into the gold key area - the lock is not even able to be interacted with (and of course I don't have the key any longer as I was already in that area) but the door is closed and not able to be opened.....
The red conduits are just destinations you can teleport to. You can teleport from anywhere.. The gold door resealed for me on 7a as well. It may have happened when I upgraded from 1.0 to 1.1, but not sure on that. Spoiler Assuming you made your choice of loot, I'm not sure if you are missing out on anything at this point.
I've removed the internal locks on gold key rooms in v1.3. Now if only Apple would approve v1.2, I could submit this next update. Frustrating.
I want to like this game so badly it has so much potential. I have never been more frustrated though. Do rogues suck? I made my party with two. A shaman, and caster. My rogues thus far have never disarmed a trap, and I'm not sure what else I'm doing wrong. Each enemy I fight I miss, I don't know 90% of the time. How does a rat resist a spell, are these rats really supposed to be able to kill me? I would use arrows but I run out after one skirmish with a rat. And he's not even dead. Let's see I have two rogues up front, a caster behind and a shaman behind. Apparently my caster can hit things from the back row but my shaman cannot. This means my rogue needs to be in the back row but I don't have any arrows so they become useless. Ok so I leave my shaman in the back. Heal, heal, heal, expose, heal heal out of mana and the rat has over 50% hp left and my other guys just keep swinging away. Sparks! Nope, resisted. What in the world? Rats killing me? My adventurers can't swing a weapon? Mana is impossibly hard to keep up with, don't you dare argue that I should backtrack, I'm exploring... Golems are impossible. Spells and magic seem worthless. There is nothing in this game that makes me feel like a worthwhile explorer. I feel like I'm the weakest being x4 in the dungeon and have no right venturing forth. I SHOULD jump in the pit like the journal of the other explorer says. He had the right idea. Seriously, why are rats able to kill me.
Game Impressions Defeated Janec then went to level 17 and defeated Janec a second time and got the cold fire crystal. The End. I have not found all the secrets and had two silver keys still in my inventory. All in all I enjoyed the game. I had some help from this forum but a lot of the puzzles I worked out myself. Some were hard some were very easy. Maybe when I get some spare time I will play it again when the updates are available so I can find all the secrets. I know that there are some coloured doors I did not find enough colour wheels to open. I don't think I ever opened the yellow door, . Can't remember what level that was on.
Early on in the game, dodge the golems. Open their door, then lure them out until you get to a large enough room. The circle around them and go into their rooms. Find and raid the chest there. Then exit the room and find the golem. Get him to chase back to the golem's room. These are large enough to manoeuver around them. Get out of the room and close the door. Later on you will become strong enough to kill them when your caster gets the stun spell it makes it so much easier
I never had a problem with the internal switches on the gold door rooms. I think you just need to be careful when you teleport.
Moving blocks Hi, new to these forums, so apologies if I'm wrong but I think I've found a bug (by the way, like the game a lot Steve) - trying to make things happen I've moved some blocks between levels. You can't carry them up and down stairs but you can teleport with them, when you do though they don't remain on the new level after a save. I'm now two blocks short on level 9a and wondering if that's why I can no longer access a whole section of the map to the east and south of the rotating grey monk - the walls have just closed up where open before. ?
Equal up, as is down From right to left then turn around???? Dont get that, with my english knowledge...
Spoiler 50% of the wall levers need to be up and the 50% need to be down. Then turn around and you should see another wall lever
First report of someone finishing the game!!! AWESOME, well done (though you probably should have enclosed that first sentence in SPOILER tags) If you do replay, I'd wait until v1.3 is out (within a couple of weeks). There's a few fairly major changes coming in that version. I'm changing the way the Conduit system works (back to how I originally wrote it) and also adding a small level of mana regeneration to magic user characters (I'm testing this at the moment). Also all the small bugs that we know about will be solved by that version (those that aren't already in v1.2).
It sounded like 1.3 was ready to go even though 1.2 has not even been approved by Apple yet. But maybe he has decided to add more things to 1.3 while waiting for Apple's glacial approval process.
Spoiler From the clue (if my memory serves me correctly, there where 6 levers. Facing the wall I set the three on my right to on (down) and left the other three up. I then turned around and found the revealed lever to open the door.
Thanks. I suppose I should have used spoiler tags but did not feel that I was giving much away. Did you pick up the bug with the Dismiss spell I reported earlier. If you use this when not under attack the game crashed. I only ever used to see what it did. I never actually used it to save my team in a fight, although at the start it would have been useful.
