Dunno whether im suffering from a bug or just missed something but I am stuck on level 3 (the one with the intermittant flame corridor). My two exits off the level wont let me go any further. When I go down to the following level there is a closed door and some holes to the left (neither which I can get past) and the other exit from the level (with the warning sign that says 'i told you so') has a door / wall with scratches on it that I cant get past. Any ideas?

For #3 the exit is after the flames bit. When on 4 look closely around the closed door.

I am enjoying the game a decent amount although I do find that I am doing a ton of retracing steps etc to figure out the puzzles. The lack of icons on the maps exacerbate this as I don't always remember a couple days later where the wheels to turn or dead ends I needed to explore are. I haven't been able to open the colored doors on 9 or 10 yet but may find the solutions on 11 (which I found a staircase to but haven't explored).

Fun game but the combat has been repetitive and the slogging over the same ground detracts some from the excitement. The puzzles that are in one place are pretty easy, making the harder ones more so due to the time requirements of wandering around.

I agree that this is a quite the chore to wander back and forth, when resuming a game I can never remember where anything is.
A proper map with indicators for important doors, alters, color wheels, etc. is imperative to keep the frustration to a minimum.

It really is a shame, because in my mind, that's the only thing that's holding the game back.

As a general note, if people usually keep the brightness on their device way down to save power, you'll definitely want to turn it up for Coldfire Keep. It's quite dark in places, and very low brightness on your device might make things difficult.

    Or... a dirty screen ;)

Yep - I wasted a ton of time on one of the early levels trying to figure out how to open a door that had a chain right there.

Quick fishing questions - can you get more than one special item from a pond? Are they fixed or random?

There's only ever a maximum of one item, indicated by the sparkle (or lack of sparkle). They're not random.

I'm exactly where you are and even brought the same item from 4 to help me. I know there's a blue door but I've only found the one color wheel. Tried checking the giant room for switches, but no luck yet. Give me a hint if you figure out what we missed. I suspect it's something to do with the portal in the middle of the room, but no idea how to get in there.

Yep. I think that's what opened four small alcoves in the walls with levers in them. Those opened the door leading all the way down to 9b with the chasm, journal entry, etc.

Enjoying this game so far. Lovely presentation and sound, enjoyable dialogue that's not intrusive, I've not used the traditional controls but it's been pretty good aside from picking up items taking more than one tap on the screen.

As far as criticisms are concerned, not sure what else to add that others haven't already said (picking up items being a tad cumbersome, no combat feedback..) but are being addressed in the patch :)

Awesome to hear you're enjoying it. This first update can't come soon enough. I've almost got the NEXT update (v1.2) ready to go at this point!

Really appreciate the developer interaction. Thanks for the response! Looking forward to the updates. Still on 11b as I've had the kids to myself all weekend and making slow progress.

Then you should be all good :)

I'd check 9b again if in doubt........

You have figured out you can dig up the rock mounds on the ground?
