On the fence with this one. It really does seem like a great game but im worried about replay value. Have to many puzzle games to go through and I need to limit my spending.
There are 60 levels for now, cause it says "more coming soon". There isnt any other mode, but replayability is very high you will be addicted and could easily want to finish the whole game with 3 stars, in total the game has 180 stars to conquer.
The iOS version of Peggle is great, especially after they added in the missing BGM... (Touch to aim, fine tune with a slider on the side...)
Peggle is good, i like it, but Coin Drop and Peggle cant be really be compared, the only thing they have in common, and they differ a lot, is that you drop balls from above (Coin Drop 5 at the same time, in Peggle one at a time) and they are pins you can hit (in Coin Drop they serve as extra points, after hitting all of them, and in Peggle they dissapear after you hit them, some are for special powers, also dissapear). Actually Coin Drop is a modern version (i would say futuristic) of Peggle, theres just so much more to do in Coin Drop.
"Puckerz" is another game that is kind of similar to this style. Theres a lite version if you want to check it out.
I work at Full Fat and am regularly reading the new posts, and I expect Chris is as well. Bear in mind that with the combination of Easter and the royal wedding, loads of people in the UK are on an 11-day long-holiday! Sorry if we seem a bit quiet.
I really like the game, but have to say that with all the Peggle-similarities, this seems more of a game of luck than skill. Sure you can send the coin down a certain line, but with all the moving parts, etc., it doesn't quite have the strategy of Peggle as far as "shooting" goes. Still, it's a ton of fun and am glad I picked it up.
Luck have a presencee here, true, but also skill, you have to know when and where is the right time to drop the coin to accomplish the mission. Its not like trowing 5 coins at the same time, which is fun, but not the right thing to do
Also, AppGamer posted a review of this gem giving it a 10, and added "Perfect". Also said: "Coin Drop is our new favourite action puzzle game and I can see this game taking pride of place on my iPad for a long time to come. It has just the right level of giddy day-glo presentation, coupled with a great physics engine and addictive gameplay" http://appgamer.net/reviews/2011/apr/27/coin-drop/ Justice for this awesome game that deserves nothing less than huge success
Just bought it. Played through about 30 levels. I can't see my self playing it again to be honest. There's not a lot of play.. It's mostly just watching stuff..Admitedly cool suff, and I can see why it's loved. Just a bit too minimal in terms of gameplay for me personally.
