Hi all, Thanks again for supporting this game, we appreciate all the great feedback you've been giving. As promised, here's a gameplay trailer for your enjoyment Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
This game's great, blows Peggle away with way more gameplay action. Between last night and this morning I beat this game, and am looking forward to more levels. Also really appreciate that it's in HD for the iPad. The only thing I really don't like is that it's not full screen on the iPad, it's just an HD 2x iPhone screen with a black border all the way around. I really wish developers would cater these apps specifically for the iPad and not for the iPhone with the iPad as an afterthought. I'd rather the app not be universal and just be a separate app if this is the case, I don't play games on my iPhone anyway.
Did you beat the game with all 3 stars? I am still on the first world and am stuck. Keep getting 7000 pts but cant get 7500. Do I have to use the shake feature a bunch?
I would rather the developers continue catering to the iPhone and NOT iPad. I'm one of those people that like playing games on the go 80% of the time and I'm usually unable to do that on the iPad. Even tough I have an iPad I sure as he'll don't want to see the iPhone/touch take a back seat in favor of the iPad. Anyway, as for the game I was going to pass it up but due to all the positive reviews and comparisons with "peggle" I decided to take a chance and I'm so glad I did. I hope to see updates in the future. Keep up the great work.
Hi, Chris again! Sparing use of the nudge should be enough to get you by - it's there to give your coin an extra push in its direction of travel when needed! You should never need to shake too often, though! Also, always be on the look out for a Coin Frenzy and, if there are any spinnables on the level, they can be an excellent way to get you the score you need. Keep trying, you'll get there with a bit of luck and some well-timed drops. @SuperWeird, thanks for the praise, very much appreciated. Regarding the iPad visuals, due to different screen dimensions of the iPad, for full screen the objects within the levels would've had to be placed in different positions to how they currently are. This would effectively double the amount of levels we create (each would have to be created twice!) as well as double the testing. As we're a small team, this just wasn't feasible, so we thought we'd do the right thing and offer a Universal App for a good price rather than have you iPad owners have to play an upscaled iPhone version of the game Hope everyone has a great Easter!
Nope not with all 3 stars on every level, need to revisit some of the levels to do that. But I captured the bad guys on every level and got enough stars to finish the game. I found shaking it to be key to getting through the levels. It really gets way more awesome as it goes on too, each level adds new features and gameplay twists. I love the brick breaking action, teleporters and lasers in later levels. Also, I understand why the devs decided to make it universal and leave in the black border on the iPad, but it's still slightly annoying. It would be nice if the black space was filled with a border or something simple, this would make it fill the screen and not seem like an iPhone port without the need to redesign the size of every level.
Spinnable things don't get you points for hitting them though do they? I get a Coin Frenzy every time I try the level, and change all the pegs 2-3 times and still can't get the score I need. What I need is 2 Coin Frenzy's, but that's just not feasible unless I get lucky
Hi, Craig here, another developer on Coin Drop. (I don't have the password to the Full Fat company account, but since it's now the Easter holidays I thought I'd reply myself so you don't have to wait for a response.) Chris has already said it, but thanks from me too for the feedback and for playing the game! There's a button on the pause menu to turn on a more colourful border on the iPad. The spinners that make a clicking sound give you points when stars come out. Which Galactic Blast level is it that you're stuck on?
Full Fat Games I have to say very nice job on the game. I love it.The game is awesome there's lots of level and different themes. I really love the unlockable coins with different looks to choose from. Graphics and animation are great along with music and SFX. Great job!!
Just bought the game and wanted to drop in to say what a lovely game this is.... I searched already for some time for a peggle lookalike (if i may state it so bluntly)...and this fills the gap on the ipad even more then that. Great animations with a colorfull menu....super gameplay and arcade fun are words that come to my mind. Thank you very kindly FullFat Games for this great game....
I really like this game, is refreshing. I specially like the menu music, is addictive, got stuck in my head and never let go... i wish it was the main music during game... the gameplay is definitely a go, very good with lots of variety, good job FullFat Games, you created a masterpiece...
I also love playing this game... Nice work all around. But I also have to echo the thoughts of a few on this thread that a bonus system would be great. Not that I want to take from another game, but getting some of the bonus points in Peggle really makes the game pop. I like the things like traveling a long distance from peg to peg, or hitting the last peg on your last shot are great. Getting some bonus points for doing the nearly impossible is a wonderful way to beef up this game. Another would be better achievements. Just getting the new coins is nice, that there are other ways that you could earn them besides collecting the blue coins. Getting special coins after say "Hitting 1000 pegs" or "Rescuing 200 Pinkies" would be good. It would also be fun to see stats... How many pegs have I hit total? How many coins have a dropped? Not important stuff, but still something I'd check from time to time if it was there. But all in all... GREAT GAME!
