Added one more to level 36. Congrats to cyan for joining the others in the group by passing ChrisJ. Now we just need to get Jeroen to get a little more than 2500 points to do it too. BTW, when I look at scores, I get some odd results quite often - my name appearing twice. Sometimes everything is fine, sometimes I only appear twice in the "friends" list. Sometimes twice in the full list. And sometimes twice in both lists. It's bad because when it appears twice, whoever is behind me doesn't show up at all! Does this happen to anyone else? Does anyone else see my name appear twice or is it only on my device for some reason? And any idea how to stop it from happening?
+1 here. I have that same issue with GC. On top of that, many times when I'm checking GC and I have changed ranking position, GC simply crashes on me. And this is going on a long time already, months and months really Unfortunately, no idea how to stop it from happening. If I really want to know for sure, I change to Achievements and back, change to Last Week and back, close the app and that kind of stuff
I'm here... watching from the shadows. I got 36 with 57xx too. Different strat, same as I thought some time ago. Don't know why I abandoned this solution before. You find this problem in GC on iOS 7 n' 8 (your nick appears twice). I'll try to attack the early levels (bigK's scores) n' the level I'm very behind in (Lv20). No success on lv42, got 5798 4 times. Need to reattach the bolt?
Just looked at 42 - unfortunately, I couldn't remember how I did it. Might have gotten a hint in the forum or elsewhere, but just don't recall. I probably should take notes, but I've never had the patience to do it. But if I do get a top score on a level and anyone wants help, let me know - just don't wait long because I'll probably forget later!
L42 I remember more or less. Like bigk, I should have noted down what I did at the time of reaching the highscore. Anyway, with the bolts numbered as coded below: the sequence is 3, 1, 2, 1 or 2, 1, 3, 1 or 3, 2, 1, 1 and then bolt 2 or 3 again at the bottom (or not, depends on how the bar fell). Probably already what you were doing ... Code: 1----- 2----3 4----5
Yeah, it's what I'm doing. I'll try to change the sequence. I'm not bolting the bar after it falls. I'll try.
I experimented for over an hour today on 42. In that time I got 5800 over a dozen times and 5599 at least 9 times. In my case, I got those highest scores by doing 1,3,2,1. When I did 1,2,3,1 I never got higher than 5797 (once) and otherwise maxed out at 5791. I spent about 10 minutes with that strategy. The problem with 1,2,3,1 seemed to be that the bar landed more vertically. I didn't try the other orders that Sao posted. Since I haven't matched my top score, maybe I better. Anyway, with my 1,3,2,1 approach, these are things I noted: 1. All my best scores involved the alien not hitting the "point" on the left wall or the point of the square below it - it must sail through those cleanly. It will tit the side of that lower block - just not the point. 2. A lot then depends on how it hits the bar you dropped. If it stops even slightly upon contact, I never got a top score. It will slow down, but it must continue to move at least. 3. The bar can land in a variety of positions. Generally the most vertical ones are the worst though I'm not sure if there may be exceptions based on how the bounces work out. 4. All my top scores did NOT lock the dropped bar. I spent awhile doing so (locking the upper end), but never did as well. I think sometimes I got more speed off it, but when I did, it would always hit the lower edge of the bar on the right and slow down too much. Here is something else to consider. I haven't done it much and it may be meaningless. What if, after you do the normal steps you also drop the right bar? In theory it shouldn't change anything since the alien never touches it but I've seen levels where it seems moving other things causes the ball to move differently anyway. Something someone might want to experiment with. Trouble is, this level is so inconsistent anyway, it would be hard to really tell if it is consistently better, worse, or the same.
Okay, done a lot more testing and it seems to me that 3,1,2,1 is the way to go. I didn't lock anything at the bottom. Could get 58k a LOT. Matched the top score twice. Couldn't do that with any other order. Kra should definitely be able to break the 58k mark without trouble. As before, the alien has to miss both "corners" at the top. From then on, it hits the dropped bar much better every time.
Yeah, with 3-1-2-1 I gotcha the 5804. With 1-3-2-1, 5800. And with 1-2-3-1, 5798. The limits, respectively. sijs is disturbing me. Congrats bigK (281)!
Wait a minute - you have matched EVERY known high score (of those posting on the chart) except for #43???? Dang, I sure am glad #43 is the only one that really matters! How the heck did you get so many so quick? Find a new basic strategy that applies to a bunch of levels? Heck, I'm still trying to get myself no less than 100 points behind on any level and not making much progress with that!!! Well, no doubt Kra has at least some higher scores so don't get cocky, kid!
I played yesterday evening for like 3 hours, and was in the zone. I'm surprised as you are by my improvements, these are big points. And heck yeah, when did you better 43? I missed that! And I thought my score was pretty good hahaha No strategy changes, mostly just optimizations in timing and/or handling, but also sometimes adding an element, I mean do something extra to try to give the alien a little additional push. Well, exception is 50 where I did get a better score by changing the path of the alien
Just reduced your lead from 302 to 80 points! 284 club! A nice day! Maybe I can finish the day with less than 50pts behind. edit: topped the 1st ranked!! ))
I need 40 more points!!! UPDATE: Got it with room to spare. I have a feeling I'll never see the next 2K marks. Not just because of levels I don't know how to max out on, but because there are so many levels I do know what do do but can't do well enough! Should stick to games for REAL men, like Space Forest Dilemna!
I see you posted this almost 3 am your time. Sorry to keep you from sleeping! I had a comfortable night myself, thank you for asking
