Yes, that's what Apple allows but it's up to developers to choose how to use it. Starbucks chose to build that capability into their own app and their in-store digital network. Unlike IGN and Apple, Starbucks does not tweet direct links to their giveaways. They tweet a mention of what's being given away along with a link to their own app. I respect that. So even if direct hotlinks are acceptable here, the least y'all could do is also mention that Starbucks provides an app that's built just for this purpose. There's no reason not to also credit and directly mention their app too. At a minimum it's helpful to new forum members who might not be aware that this is a regular thing that they can get for themselves.
You're kind of delusional. You removed the link and your "question' is irrelevant and nobody needs to show you anything. It's just a power trip on your part.
This. It's interesting how one word could cause this much drama. A few sentences could have clarified each side's intention without further additional accusation. Keep going down this road, this aint gonna end happy. Just saying.
Wow, this has to be one of the most wacked out threads I have read in awhile, but on that note, thanks for letting us know.
Got this early in the week. Sometimes the app shows the offers with messages sometimes it doesn't. It would be nice if the link was posted since it doesn't even always work for those of us trying to participate as intended. As for the program, its intending to reach Starbucks customers right? I've been to a Starbucks maybe three times in my life. I think most people in these threads aren't big Starbucks people either. It's just an avenue for a free app and sometimes a song. I've not te been offered a book, but such is life.
Well, after seeing three pages for this, I figured it must be a decent freebie. As it turns out, I have no interest in the app at all. But now I don't have to go out and rent a movie, there's enough fun drama going on here on TA
I am so utterly confused. So does anyone have any codes to this, or the download link? I agree with connector, very confusing thread.
I bought this awhile ago, a very beautiful to do app, but also very simple. I like it a lot tho. Use the Lifehacker link posted above.
It's really sad that a freebie has sparked such a dysfunctional thread. Doesn't seem like there was ANY wrongdoing here in posting about it since the links to this freebie are found just about anywhere. Calling it PIRATING??? Now that was way WAY over the top. Drama for drama's sake it seems. dclose admitted she posted the way she did for shock and awe. I dunno why though? Starbucks continues to get credit for the downloads; in the same way that IGN does or other programs that have the link posted. All is good. In fact if they get MORE downloads this way what is the harm?? I am really just in shock over the extreme reaction to this. I was there for the history of the codes and all. I remember the begging and all. Starbuck's reaction was to create a new formula to prevent that. They did. It's this. It's all good. Relax. Carry on. PS - been using this app since the day it was released. Excellent list making app that I recommend to anyone. It's been well supported and has received many updates since then to make it even better. Great great app. Keep carrying on.
Ahhh I had no idea about this until your post. I have been away from the forums for awhile now, and I remember the begging! I was one of them... LOL. This is in no way pirating... I don't even see people's logical explanation for this.
If you do a search for "Starbucks Clear App" you will get dozens of sites that are posting the link. Yes, it's a redirect because that is the only way to track the downloads. Add: Here is an example of what the link actually is: https://buy.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/freeProductCodeWizard?code=KJ9M6RYTP7TF
Look, my point was, the OP was just trying to share something, and dclose bagged on the person for no reason. Like everyone said, he did nothing morally wrong. So I just don't like when people bag on a person who's just trying to be nice and share some info. That's all. Anyway, I'm done with this particular thread, don't want trouble with mods. Until later.
It's so simple. Click the link on this Slickdeals page, and boom, you're in. Although I'm assuming most have, yes? If my inclusion of an off-site link falls afoul of The Rules, I apologize. https://slickdeals.net/f/6011650-FREEBIE-Starbucks-Pick-of-The-Week-Clear-App-Direct-Link-Normaly-1-99?
funny how you searched for the actual link you already know existed, in the starbucks site on *yahoo*, lmao
