Do I have the worst luck ever? Literally been playing this game since it was first announced on TA and I still only have ONE EPIC card...Skeleton Army...that's it. I go against all these Princes and Witches and big skele bomb guys and I've got poo. I'm floating between 1000-1100 trophies without them but I wanna have fun too hahaha
I'm sure I've played a few of you, my in game is Xanthus but pretty new on it still. Got the witch, Valkyrie, skeleton army, musketeer and goblin hut but can't decide which I want to use! Still sucks how little the game can be played without wasting gold for nothing.
* save your gold and buy them from the shop ^.^ You get about 10+ gems a day. As well as the 300 or so starting. You earn about 5-10k gold a week depending. Earning you 3-5 epics a week. It's a slow pace game and your at a gold trophy level ^.^ patience. Also; low cost common - rare decks can be extremely effective. I'm hovering at around the 1300 trophy Mark. Don't want to go higher. I stay and level my troops and play when chests are up. Balance will come in time. As of now I feel it's at an okay Mark. Every troop can be countered there's some really good depth and strat to the game. Maybe a one defensive / offense building per deck rule?
New players get an epic at the start and then a magical chest when you reach A2 I believe. If F2P, just do as above and don't rush. The cards themselves are plenty good at every level. Just keep opening chests and if you can, save for a magical chest open. Get in a clan asap and start donating and requesting cards. I personally think it's best to invest a bit, even if it's just $20 in a Canadian iTunes Card. The game is worth it, it's that fun. If you do, I recommend getting a rack of 10k gold and a magical chest. The gold will let you level up all your cards to get your player level up and also buy extra epics from the store. I suggest doing this on a Sunday because there are extra cards available. Note, this won't catapult you to top of the leaderboard. The guys there like the you tubers and Asians have spent hundreds minimum and most of them thousands on the game already. But you can just work on improving and upgrading and collecting cards. Someone asked about the witch, she's one of the best epics so yes use her. In fact alot of the best cards in the game are found in the first area and second.
I'm at arena 2 now, and sometime they match me with some arena 3 guys with so much things cant be counter
I'm kinda happy this is a canadian soft-launch because its forcing me to not spend money given that I don't have a CC linked to that dummy account (I'm US-based). Normally I would have thrown some money at a game like this, so its been interesting to be forced to play with what I get naturally.
Read in the comments section of another website that it will be released "Feb 16th"... They had no source though.
You can make purchases if your from US buddy. I am, and from US. Delete game. Use your main iTunes account. Switch to Canada. Type in a dud town & zip. Download clash royale. Switch back to US. Put in your original payment info.

Neat little trick I saw someone use. Not sure how effective it is considering I won the match. You can spawn a witch in the bottom corner of the arena, then quickly spawn a hut infront of her so she gets trapped in the corner. Now you have a hut spawning troops alongside a witch spawning a bunch of skeletons.
I didn't think she would get stuck, might have to try that one as usually I spawn her further back to get more skeletons. Got the baby dragon today and he is awsome! Unlocked the tombstone too, anybody use that? Sounds better than the goblin hut but never seen anyone use it. Hate that barrels though they are so annoying. Such a cheap tactic to launch those at your tower as soon as you've just put a minion down so have no elixir left.
I use the tombstone instead of the hut. I like it a lot more plus it spawns extra skeletons once it explodes for an added bonus
Hate these soft launches, wondering if someone has the game can he gift it to me or is this not possible, just asking.
I keep seeing comments like this and I don't get it.. just create a new iTunes account for one of the countries the game is soft launched in and download it. I could understand people waiting if progress was to be reset but that won't happen.
