Another game with too many cheaters to top the leaderboards with autoclickers and IAP bypasses for unlimited premium currency. Legit players have no chance, avoid if you have issues with having no chance against cheaters.
I would have to concur with Bear here...where is the fun when most of the stone have been claimed, bugs in raids that claim you quit the raid when I didn't, and the simp,e fact that lots of people are farther down the mine. So yeah, what fun is that when you add all of those in...
The game is being reset so everyone can be on even ground. Only the first 11 stones have been claimed permanently, the rest are getting deleted. The game isnt even available for downloads worldwide yet so they havent gone ahead and reset the leaderboard, stats and everything else.
We monitor the leaderboards constantly, and we have automated anti cheating measures that are extremely effective. All serious CivCrafter players can vouch for this. Anyone who's at the top in CivMiner right now is only there because they've been beta testing for weeks, and again everything is getting reset in about an hour as the game is downloadable in the US store. Even if you buy the best tools, you're still limited by the need for at least one tap to break through each block, which is a situation you'll be in constantly even without spending a dime. All of the game's reviews have spelled out pretty clearly that IAP is completely unnecessary to play and compete. We actually put a great deal of effort into making this game the exact opposite of what you described, as much as humanly possible in a game with leaderboards or with clicker mechanics. If it's still not your thing, then I'm sorry Hey Cofunguy, I replied to you with this earlier, but again all of the stone names (except the first 10) are getting wiped when the game becomes available in the US store. Most people won't get to name stones -- that's just the nature of the system, and it's what makes naming stones special -- but everyone who gets the game at launch will have an equal shot at it. Even if you spend money, you can only name one stone per device, and there are literally unlimited stones to be discovered. No one else has experienced the raid bug you're describing, but I'm still working through it with you via PM to figure it out. If you're done with the game, by all means let me know so that I can focus elsewhere We're right there with you.
The thing is that anyone on a jailbroken iOS device can download AutoTouch which is an autoclicker meaning they can just leave there phone down as there taps are tapping quicker than most human hands are possible. There is no real way to balance against outside tools. Also all of those jailbroken devices can download and use any IAP bypass apps such as IAP crazy, LocalIAPstore and IAP free and just steal your premium content. I'm glad if you found a way to block the IAP bypass stuff but you can't stop someone who's autoclicking 24/7. I can edit this message to not inform others of these programs if you request.
What does that do for them? Oil is the only thing that's relevant in competition (nothing else is rewarded), and it's much more efficient to farm Oil from oil raids (which are limited to once every 3 minutes) than it is to dig for it, even with an auto clicker. At most, they can dig faster and have a better shot at naming a stone, and if they do that too quickly we'll spot them and revoke the name. 99.99% of players will never get to name a stone anyway. It's a fun social thing, and it's cool to see what stones people have found and named, but it's in no way an important functional aspect of the game. I wanted to make a point of respectfully responding to the things you and confunguy brought up because they're things that we have actually put a lot of effort into addressing very directly in the game. A lot of people have had a lot of fun playing this and CivCrafter so far. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing. You can choose from any other clicker out there, 99% of which have no multiplayer aspects for you to worry about. Or you could even play CivMiner offline, treat it as a single player game, and enjoy a densely featured app without ever stressing about what other people might be doing. Thanks for taking a look, and best of luck finding what you're looking for
It's probably cool to bring up cheating as a factor that affects the game, but giving people detailed instructions on how to do it is probably overkill.
Okay, the grand wipe of names/oil/fossils is happening in 10 minutes! Edit - Resource names are now wiped, you can start digging! Fossils and Oil are in the process of clearing now
I already blew my load when it comes to ejaculation innuendos, but I can't hold on for much longer. It's not my fault, I just havent done it in awhile.
I bet, I'm sorry about that. Life as a pre-release tester. As you've seen in this thread, people take launch advantage very seriously
