the biggest problem isn't resource generation while the app is closed, it's the late game progression. i have 32,000,000 land, a population limit of 4,700,000, and a total pop of 310,000. i can only generate 10,000 people at a time... but not really. i can only create 5,800 because my food storage limit is too low. and i can only increase it by 10,000 barns and that takes 24 hours! and by that time i've created another 35,000 people and increased the cost per person so when those 10,000 barns finally hit tomorrow i still won't get to queue up 10,000 people. if i queue up 10,000 of each building, it would take me 200 days to hit my land max... i got tired of grinding out 1-2% of my wonder each day, when the reward is what? a 5% food boost next round? so i created a 200,000 army. 75k soldiers, 75k archers, 50k knights... lost them all in an hour raiding at the highest level. do you know how long it's going to take me to repopulate? 2 hours generating 5800 people at a time? i have the resources for so much more.

for your barn problem. try tapping the +1 button its so mich faster than using timer. also i only use the +100 or +1000 because te +10k takes whole day you can enlarge your barn. so many food/pop wasted.
Peanut Chew, at 300k population, you should be able to grind the wonder in a day or two. Then raid like crazy killing off your population. Then prestige (reward for the repopulation phase). However, if you don't prestige, killing off your population fixes the barn problem, then you should have no problem with 10k for population. I think the intent is to focus either on population or food storage (or a balance in between), not to be able to massively gain everything. - Have fun
Here's a data point concerning dragons and the right mix of warriors. Before: After: All soldiers wiped out. Then knights bore the brunt while (presumably) archers took out the dragons from afar. I don't necessarily know how to interpret this.
I bet a nickel it's because you have more than 16 workers on your wonder. Here's my worker ratio analysis.
A few tips I don't remember seeing: If you accidentally tap the middle button when attacking another town/city/etc you can back out of it by tapping the middle of the screen. That way you don't end up attacking a rank higher if you are not ready. How happy your people are are dependent on many things but one that carries a lot of weight is how much land you have. The happier your people are the more efficient they are...especially when it comes to food production. Always keep happiness up high. It makes a HUGE difference. When in battle it is very important to not put all of your force into just knights and dragons. You want regular soldiers and archers too. I have read that part of the reasoning is because they play a little like paper, rock scissors in that archers might be more effective against dragons and etc, etc but they are forgetting another big reason. If you have soldiers and archers up you will lose them first instead of your knights and dragons and they are easier to replace. So let your weaker and cheaper men soak the damage (I call the first 2 Soakers) and help preserve your elite. will you guys be giving prestige a buff? most of the top players aren't even bothering with prestiging also is there anything to prestige after 10 times?
I've finished building the wonder and I chose to boost my food resources, then my game progress has been deleted and I've started to play from the beginning, but the problem is I don't see any boost for food or any changes. What's the problem? I really don't like that I have to build my kingdom now again. My entire army, all of my resources, workers are gone. I wish I could keep playing where I left with the boost. But I feel like I'm gonna do the same things again and again, so that's why I'll probably not play anymore. But thanks so much anyway, it was an awesome game and I had so much fun.
So, I noticed that food production goes up significantly when raiding and using the rally horn. Is this the only use of it?
