Is anyone else not receiving resources while the game is closed? I did a little test and setup the farmers to produce 2k food per second and pushed the home screen button at 50k. After leaving it for several minutes it had only gone up to 60k but then went to 70k in just 10 seconds with the app open. Is there some kind of penalty for resource gaining while the app is closed?
This is going to be a very long one. I have played this game since its launch hour in my iTune store. It is one of the most addictive clicker game I have ever played. However, I start to have some issues with it balance-wised. Raiding in this game is a must for everyone since you need more land and leveling up is going to give so little. So I raided and start picking harder enemy as my army grow. Early reward from plundering is awesome. I barely need my smith to make metal. But as I start picking harder enemy to raid, I can't choose easier town anymore, which is a good thing. What is not a good thing is the trophies and skull reward which is not increased. Raiding County kingdom give the same trophies and skull reward from raiding village. This can be exploited to hell by just raiding newcomer town repeatedly since those town will have at most 3-digits troop and, if you are diligent, you can have a State kingdom with up to 20000 soldiers and, if you pay money to buy gold to speed up research, you can have a horde of dragon which is OP as hell. Dragon are so overpowered it literally melt tens of thousands of soldier. I raided a State-level kingdoms once and he had 13 dragons!! I went in with 15000 soldier and came back with less than 5000. The reward was 1 trophy and 2 skulls. SIGH... It didn't contribute to my random guild at all since I have lost many man-hour to regain that amount of population. (10000 citizen needs around 1 hour and 51 minutes.) Losing that amount in less than half a minute for the same reward for bullying village-level kingdom is just painful. I don't feel like a super world conquering kingdom, but more like I ruined his kingdom by depleting his army and leaving it other army to plunder. Since I haven't pay a cent yet, I don't know whether dragon needs citizen or not. If not, that is too much since resource in this game is not an issue at all. Piety can be gained only from temple and priest and paying with gold, not raiding. I think Piety consume herbs though which needs high wood production. Unless you want to have carpal tunnel syndrome. Research is not clickable. Unlike resource which can be clicked to increase prouction rate, you can speed up research unless you pay gold or, if you are lucky, a video button. I just completed armory research yesterday and I had already met armies with knights and dragon in day one. DAY ONE. Another thing which can be both good or bad is resource will not increase if you are not playing the game. This is also apply to raiding and Wonder. You can be raided if you are not log in online, but you still can get resource offline at reduced rate since you don't get guild bonus. I guess by depleting high level army, you force him to go offline and replenished army preventing him from raiding other people I guess. Having three resource and your citizens consume food is the best thing this game hdoes since it force player to balance it, but as I have mentioned earlier. There are issues. But then, maybe it was intended to be this way. Forcing player to be offline to rebuild army and things.
Thanks Tizona! Skull/Trophy rewards are weighted based on whether you are raiding the lower or higher available civ tier, but not based on the overall tier (as you said). We never felt this was necessary because the land rewards for raiding higher level clans do scale heavily, and as a result you would have a nearly impossible time building any kind of meaningful civilization without progressing through the raid gauntlet. Sure, if you played it just right you could have an easier time earning trophies, but that's about all you could do. We'll definitely look into scaling the Skull/Trophy rewards a bit to incentivize raid progression, but so far it hasn't been an issue. The benefits of progressing massively outweigh that one and only detriment. Additionally, as your civ size grows you'll still get raided by better and better opponents, and it'll get tougher and tougher to fight them off with the exponentially tightening land constraints. We don't want to share the exact troop weightings and matchup advantages, but I can promise that a single dragon can't kill 10s of thousands of soldiers. Small armies in the 50 unit range can, and often do, take down a dragon. As you said yourself, an army of 13 dragons only killed 10000 troops, and statistically even that is some bad luck. It's all relative. If we cut resource production by 75% and eliminated the upgrade timers, it would take you the same amount of time to complete. We made the decision to give people surplus resources so that they can build up their civ as they progress the upgrade tree. Someone, I believe it was Pocketnova, said he got as far as he did in a week with the beta in the first few hours of play. There are definitely ways for ultra-calculated players to get advanced troops more quickly. We matchmake mainly based on population, so if someone has the talent to unlock a dragon relatively earlier than the majority of players they get to enjoy the fruits of having a stronger army in the early stages. If we let the game play out in the background, the effect of skill would be completely minimized in favor of raw time owning the app. New players, no matter how strategic and determined, would never be able to coexist with players who had owned the game for days or weeks. A lot of the game is automated, but if we automated all of it there wouldn't be any game left. For that, we have an app called Corners . This is all great feedback, and we really appreciate you spending so much time with the game!
Army!!! I need help at CivCrafter.I play civ crafter for 3 days without playing any games i been finding a way to get the ranges my base is now an city i had the architecture upgrade and all the upgrades but i always can't find the ranges now an building upgrade doesnt appearing now i always used soldiers for a long time raiding but i always wanted an archer i reached the 2500 max soldiers to fight but no archers please help!
I'm enjoying the game so far. One of the more in-depth cookie clicker games. My only criticism is the app icon. It reminds me of yet another minecraft ripoff/scam app that you can find plentiful within the Appstore which the game clearly isn't
Hello! Awesome game seriously. I was really enjoying it and had a clan but I accidently leaved it and now my clan belongs to someone. It didn't even asked me if I'm sure to leave. I just hit that button and poof! That really makes me sad and I think there's no way that I can take my clan back, is there? Please help me guys! Thanks for everyone already.
Great game. I am having difficulties removing an inactive player from my clan. It says it could not find a player with that name in the clan. Please advise. Thanks!
Loving the game so far. Haven't stopped playing all day, definitely hooked. Just one problem - I have absolutely no idea how to get Piety. Have 40k+ leather and 34k+ metal, but 0 piety. I read the help guide and it said you need a Cleric and Temple, but can't see those options anywhere. Am I missing something?
Keep unlocking until it gives you the option. I cannot recall what upgrade triggered them but for me it happened within the first few hours of playing.
As everyone said: great game, you deserve the recognition youregetting. Quick bit of armchair quarterback advice to enhance thesocial cohesiveness aspect of clans in this game. The 3 rewards shown for the top 3 clans iseither (1) just a sample of the best rewards and the full list needs to be communicatedmore obviously or (2) in serious need of expansion to cover lesser clans. The reason being: If only the top 3 clans each week get something (as thescreens seem to suggest) then only the top 5 to 10 clans have a chance, whichmeans only the top 5 to 10 clans matter everyone else is just in a clan forthe 20% bonus. Im sure you dont wantto only cater to a community of 100-200 players! Small scaled down more trivial rewards shouldexist for clans in lower brackets. Otherwiseall these pocket communities, except the top few of them, that are currently forming(for the first time in years my TouchArcade PM box is exploding with messages!)will simply fall apart as people realize that the concerted community skullpush everyones banding together to make amounts to absolutely nothing. On a small-mobile-scale theres a parallel tothe effect of when a Warcraft raiding guild of yester-year collapses people scatter, people walk way and give up raiding and some redistribute to other raiding guilds except in this case people wont redistribute because its pointless if yourenot in the world top 10! In short itsa bit discouraging to feel like if youre not world top 3 youre nothing. If its simply a case of rewards beyond rank 3 just notbeing accessible through the UI patch in a button to press to see a fulllist, and let the community know in the FAQ! Keep up the good work. Your responsiveness to community feedback is contagious!
It's a bug the devs said they've already corrected in the upcoming patch. In short if there's a <space> in your name you are presently immune to being kicked untilpatched.
Sheesh, my clan was in the top 10 last night. I wake up this morning and were in the 20s. Those heavy hitter clans came from out of nowhere
Thanks for the reply So upgrade the items in the fourth tab? The Lightning bolt tab? I've been upgrading and haven't come across it so far.
