You need Clerics and to have Clerics you need Temples. Piety is very important later on so start building it up. Always remember to have enough food. I always have to build up food through Farmers as I am increasing everything else.
I think some others ended up doing the same thing. It's not a good idea to boot slackers until they fix the bug. I hope that is one of the priority items on the fix it list.
Yah no gold for me too! Happened last time too. Could be a bug devs? Never mind I just closed the app out and restarted it and all is good! Got the gold!
I didn't at first either. Close the app and by that I mean hit Home twice and swipe up to restart the game and then go back in and you should have your gold.
As TrencH said, you need Clerics to make Piety! Those are in the Special tab, once you have Temples (Again) as TrencH said (so helpful ) this is a known bug, fixed in an update. So I wanted to leave something here after the dev was kind enough to give me a code. That said, I wouldn't be swayed in saying negative things about it despite the nice gesture. I've really enjoyed this since checking it out. It's way deeper than your average clicker and I love it for that. It also gives you much more of a sense of progression because of this. I do wish the ticker at the top would be more visible so I. Can see more of the resources I'm getting but I'm sure this can easily be polished up. This is seriously an easy go-to, above all other clickers for me. I want to put more time into it before I say more but so far, about a couple hours playing, I'm very pleased!
Well first, the prize is divided amongst all clan members, so you would only get 3000 / (# of clan members) gold. But I'm wondering if perhaps your clan was tied for third, and the server decided the other 3rd place clan should get the prize? Obviously that would be a bug, but do you remember how the standings looked before the reset? Is it possible there was a tie? Glad you're enjoying it!! No the gold is divided among you so the top guild with 20 people should get around 500. Some people might be tempted to try to start their own guild and do it alone but then you lose the up to 20% production increase (one percent per person in your guild and 20 max in your guild so 20% is the top bonus in a full guild) kinda hard to give up that great bonus to horde more gold so a clever balance. =]

One question which I believe is explained in the beginning of the game but I forgot. I know that the beginning resources have a chance to give you another different resource (ex. Rocks sometimes give you Ore) I don't remember which one can give you Herbs and which gives you Skins. Does anyone remember? I checked this thread and I did not see it mentioned either. Thanks!
