You are a hacker trying to take down big brother type networks that are monitoring everyone's movements, credit card purchases, etc. The system admins that run the networks have a elitist god complex, kind of like the guy in Hackers, and I'm sure they think that they are funny and cool by saying these things to you before you get "booted" from their networks. If this were on Xbox LIVE Arcade I would be able to fully flesh this out for players but I am pretty limited on this device to how far I can go with it. I initially envisioned the system admin as having a physical avatar like the Red Queen or Max Headroom. If this works out well on the IPhone maybe I can do it in the future on higher end systems. You just never can please everyone with every detail and I learned early on in my career that the most successful one's where those that didn't make any compromises. Too many cooks in the kitchen will ruin any creative project. They just get watered down to the point that they is nothing interesting left. I have even seen this on high profile projects and AAA game development - its the main reason that you can have 100 talented people working on something and when it's done, it still sucks. Kudos to you Se7en! All the best of luck with the game once it's released, you can certainly see from the screen shots & Videos that it was a labour of love. Your also quite correct in your comment on "pleasing everyone". More often than not your best to stick to what you feel is correct for the charge in hand, but it can also be folly not to be receptive to external opinions & postulation... I suppose that's just a caveat of a creative endeavour especially when you throw it open to a forum full of "Know it all's!" All the best once again.
haha - Thanks. I can't wait to tell everyone about the next title. It should take a lot less time than this first app since I have my engine built. It's a careful balance. You have to just kind of know when to listen and when to stick to your guns. A lot of input has been applied from my group of beta testers and from people here on the forums, even in cases where I didn't think it was necessary. Then after I try it out I find that I actually like it and it was worth the time. haha If the insults are really a problem once I start the submission process maybe I can create a clean and explicit version just like they do with music sales. We'll see : )

se7en, please dont let apple take out such things as 'yo bitch' amongst others. id point out that, as far as today youths/young adults, that is OUR vanacular. that is OUR way of expressing things. we live in a hyper fast mode of life now, much faster than genX in the 90's, and your game is one of the few that really speaks to someone like me. im in my mid 30's and i full on remember 'hacker's, and of course laffed my arse of at it, but it really showed what life was gonna be like, it ws pretty prescient for a lame movie. everybit of your game reflects what is going on now and what will happen later. esp if you had 'prodigy' tracks like smak my biatch up'... old peeps don't realize that biatch doesn't mean what they think it does... it means anything we want it to. its been over apropriated so much that it has little to do with a)a female dog, or b) a female at all... its just a way of saying 'your PWND'.. IDK... i love this game and i hope i can experience it in all its glory without big brother (this is funny, remember apple in 84 had that add against big brother? and now they are doing just that to the app store!!!).. hell, point that out to them if they try to make you change it... just hoping i get to enjoying the game the way you meant it to be...

Hopefully the "Rez" reference to this game is related to the final stage in Rez and not the previous ones as there was a massive difference in the immersion.
me too! ive been playing teh space invaders2000 on xbox360 and its so much like REZ... to much to get into here and not to threadjack either.. i just hope the music really adds that fourth dimension to this game..
